Gregory Lewis, 26, spent more than a month on the run after cutting off his GPS minoring bracelet in Massachusetts and fleeing across the country.
Now, police reveal, he vowed to murder the 13-year-old girl who first accused him of sexually assaulting her.
Lewis was arrested Tuesday night in Fort Edward, New York, after crashing his Jeep into the Hudson River during a brief chase.

However, at the time of his arrest, he was 165 miles from Southbridge, Massachusetts, the hometown where his alleged teenage victim lives.
Police said on Wednesday that during his crime spree, he told people he encountered that he planned to kill the 13-year-old victim.
Lewis arrested after a New York State Police trooper spotted his blue Jeep with no license plates about 9.30pm outside Fort Edward.
He fled, then crashed it into the Hudson River.
As he fled his sinking car on foot. When a witness came over to help him, Lewis threatened the man with a gun.
The crime spree began on September 15 when he cut off his court-ordered GPS ankle bracelet while free on bail in Southbridge, Massachusetts. He was awaiting trail on charges that he groomed then raped a 13-year-old girl.

Fort Edward. I used to catch the train there, when I was commuting from Vermont to NYC. Decaying little town, like most of overtaxed rural New York.
Now, I suppose they’ll send him back to Massachusetts, where they’ll put another bracelet on him and let him go again.
Shoulda just drowned him in the Hudson.
“Now, I suppose theyll send him back to Massachusetts, where theyll put another bracelet on him and let him go again.”
Cicero here’s a cigar! You suppose correctly! Yes and thanks to Dr. Kinsey he will be let out again and again and again and again.

Aww sheese does the Hudson not have enough pollution?
registered Democrat no doubt
Actually I prefer what the French did to Soleyman El-Halaby who killed General Jean Baptiste Kléber in 1800. They tied him to a tree and slowly burned off all the flesh from his arm until nothing was left but the bone. Then they impaled him sticking a spike up his butt popping it out near his clavicle and stood it in the ground to let him die a slow death. Then when he died they burned his head down to the skull and took it back to France and displayed it at the Musée de l’Homme - Museum of man - with a sign that said “Criminal”. Those guys did not mess around with “ankle bracelets”.
I can’t remember but who was that FReeper who had the Vlad the Impaler Pic? Yea you know Vlad never had this problem.
Of course, they did a number on him with heat, molten lead, and sulfur before getting around to trying to tear him apart with horses, finally resorting to hacking at the sinews.
(Robespierre was from Damiens home town. Robespierre's enemies used that against him, even claiming he was related to Damiens.)
“...when I was commuting from Vermont to NYC.”
I hope that wasn’t a daily commute!
Where is Fort Edward? I’ve never heard of it before.
Perhaps MA will remember Dukakis’ weekend furloughs for murderers (ie, Willie Horton), and known friend of sexual predators, as well as Obola, gov. Coupe Deval Patrick will extend it to said predators.
Fort Edward is on the rail line that runs north of Albany and Saratoga. It was on the invasion route between Canada and southern New York, which was why a fort was built there.
You mean like this former MA sex convict? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathaniel_Bar-Jonah
No I meant Dr. Kinsey.
