This whole thing is confusing. Did the son kill the mother? Earlier I had read that it was someone else who did it, and the person who tried to help her was chased into an oncoming train. In that version, the perp got away.

Interestingly, published reports have thus far revealed the identity of the beheaded victim as Patricia Ward, a beloved professor. No mention is made of the identity of her son...yet.

If her son had a drug problem, then the rest of this makes perfect sense, especially if he was hooked on meth. The psychosis is real for meth users. My prayers for the woman’s family, and for the repose of the souls of Ms. Ward and her son.
