Pre-planning thread to bounce ideas around for venues and itinerary.

Nope. I have been so swamped at work I haven’t had much time for any personal stuff.
I’m headed down South after Thanksgiving and plan to talk to Mr. Schwenke about using his range.
Just talked to Mr. Schwenke ~ we have the range for May 9th. I’m headed down there this weekend to visit my mother and will go see Mr. Schwenke to hammer out the details.
In the mean time . . . my family reserved the house below for a reunion in April. A few things fell apart recently and we will not be staying there. I haven’t yet cancelled the reservation. If I can get the owners to change the reservation date, what do y’all think about staying here?
Or should we go with what we know and reserve cottages at Pelican Bay?

At first Schwenke said he didn’t remember us ~ I did a mental *whew*. Once I explained who our group was he said he kinda remembered us, apparently he forgot that he had to come tell us to chill several times.
Nice house, but not nearly large enough...unless we pitch tents and park travel trailers!
Pelican Bay was nice. And the group shelter worked well.
Pelican Bay has a wedding booked for the weekend we would want.
The next weekend is open for a mass booking...
The next weekend our son wouldn’t be able to attend.
There are several new places in the area that I will check out this weekend.
I know that May is your busy season at work, which weekend would work best for you . . . the 9th or the 15th?
Probably the 15th. I had already requested the weekend of the 9th off, but it was denied because Mother’s Day is on the 10th. :(
Let me know as soon as you can what the decision is so I can put in a new request for the weekend of the 15th.

I have not yet finalized the date with the gun range yet, that will be done this weekend. So the 15th is entirely possible.

My request for May 15th weekend was denied too. But I WILL be there. Somehow.
As stated on FB, I am now shooting (pun intended) for the second week in June.
This Friday I will talk to the folks at Pelican Bay about reserving cottages for our group, then head over to the range to sweet talk Mr. Schwenke into letting us use his range.
