CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A new survey shows Charlotte’s population of “sugar daddies” is growing as people are continually seeking more “mutually beneficial” relationships.
According to a popular website that pairs older men looking for “love” with young women looking for money, Charlotte’s population of sugar daddies is on the rise.
Charlotte reported averages 4.18 sugar daddies per 1,000 men.
A Sugar Daddy is a man whom is successful and generous, and willing to provide a certain lifestyle for a young, attractive person in return for friendship or companionship, SeekingArrangement.com says.
Officials say the number of registered Sugar Daddies on the site has nearly tripled in 2014.

The study shows the average “Sugar Daddy” in North America is roughly 44-years-old and has a net worth of approximately $7,730,070. He spends approximately $4,183 monthly on his “Sugar” habit.
Atlanta ranks at the top of the list.
