The percentage of US HCN stations to reach 90 degrees was the smallest on record this year, with four of the five coolest years occurring above 350 PPM CO2. The most widespread heat occurred in 1931, when more than 98% of stations were over 90 degrees.

That’s strange. NOAA just ran an alarmist story that 2014 was on track to be the warmest year ever. Someone is fibbing.

The heat bucket syndrome is the biggest driver or anchor to this whole gimmick. You have all these major metropolitan areas now surrounded by concrete and asphalt, absorbing massive heat. Then you throw up all these national weather collection sites near them. So, you continue to think massive heat, but if you found the 100-odd sites that are on mountain tops or very rural areas.....the numbers would be different from the other thousand sites which are in urban heat buckets.

Just because it is not getting warmer does not mean it is not getting warmer.

Oh, wait......

I’d be surprised if this coming winter will be as cold as the one just past, though. Thanks GonzoII.

The Sun's magnetic field is in decline...so less sunspots....

last time this happened there was a 400 year long mini ice age

...seems to me the sun is in early stage approaching zero sunspots....prepare for the worst....

the good news is that the Ebola virus will be frozen to extinction....

....the bad news is that it might also happen to humans.

what with cuts to electrical power generation, banning wood fires and all.

Precisely. There are many commercial greenhouses that run at about 3X our current level of atmospheric CO2.

This is why we have to hurry up and persuade everyone that the debate is over and shut down the coal-burning power plants - Gina Whatsherhame at the EPA.

lol

yep! my first thought too!

Recently, the global warming hoaxsters have been trying to say... well... it’s only colder here in America! (where we can actually SEE the truth!) but everywhere else... (just trust us! we wouldn’t lie to you!)

A relatively cool summer here, but record warm temps the last few weeks. Nice to have 70 degree weather in late October. I haven’t seen a 100+ day in this vicinity in years. Growing up in South Dakota just about every summer had a couple of 100 degree days, but I haven’t seen temps that high for three or four summers.

Houston didn’t even have a 100 degree day this summer. I don’t don’t even remember a 99 degree day. It was wonderful.
