"They are both registered Democrats with a history of working in public health.

Both Spencer and Dixon are professional do gooders according to their LinkedIn and professional websites. Spencer boasts a degree from Columbia’s University Mailman School of Public Health, according to his since deleted LinkedIn page.

So why did health care professionals decide to go bowling just days after Spencer returned from Ebola-infected Guinea?"

Just as selfish, superficial, shallow and stupid as most snotty Liberals you meet.

There is NOTHING they don’t KNOW!

Hipsters find it nice to live in the bad part of town. Unfortunately they condition themselves to like being robbed and beaten.

It’s actually Hamilton Heights, the neighborhood between Harlem and Washington Heights (named for Alexander Hamilton, who lived there when it was still farmland). Used to be a pretty rough neighborhood, has gentrified rapidly over the past ten years or so. There are actually quite a few doctors in the area (particularly young doctors, and “public interest” doctors like Dr. Spencer), because it is easily accessible to Columbia Presbyterian and several other large hospitals.

That is why I am advocating criminal charges be brought against them and the organization for at minimum, inciting public panic. Willful disregard for public safety and the people affected by the quarantine should sue them for loss of income and all costs associated with decontamination.

Doctors Without Borders also released a quote that he was a dedicated doctor who always puts the needs and care of his patients above his own safety. Too bad he didn’t put the needs and care of his fellow NYers above his own selfishness.

Maybe he was trying to create patients for other doctors.

There is the kind of leftist who thinks that the US is a monster and needs to suffer. And would not be opposed to providing the means.

This guy will get the best treatment including specific anti- Ebola antibodies. This would give him a pretty good chance at survival.
However, if there is a real outbreak in the US, only the elites and politicians will get the best treatment and the peasants will have a 70%+ death rate.
Don’t count on eugenicist Bill Gates’ vaccine to save you.

“I wonder what the brothers are thinking today.”

I’m sure they are most annoyed that a gentrifying yuppie has brought a deadly disease from their ancient homeland into the hood.

And who could blame them?

I know a guy who does this. Biggest f-ing &*$# you'd ever want to meet. You'd need a lear jet to carry just his ego.

I am convinced he does it purely for the bragging opportunities.

I went to a wedding for his daughter a couple of years ago. He gave an hour long "speech" about the couple and somehow turned it all about him and his travels, slide shows and all.

They have that lib look about them.

“I...I...I...I...I...I...I...I...I...I...I...I...” Geez, she's just like obola. She can now add to her LinkedIn, “I stupidly traipsed around NYC with a guy just back from Ebola Central.”

His white Harlem neighbors are just like him. His black Harlem neighbors are thinking he’s another creepy-azzed cracker intentionally infecting da bros.

Because he wasn’t sick. One of the great gifts of the human brain is rationalization. You just come back from the third world, watching people die all around you, eating crappy food, living in quarantine tents. Now you’re home, and sure you know you COULD have the disease because you haven’t finished the incubation period yet, but you probably don’t, and you’re home, and you want some good food and relaxation. So you go out, because you don’t have it... and then you get sick.

Hind sight is always 20/20, so it’s easy to point out his screw up. But most of the folks coming home from the hot zone are probably dropping right into life as usual, because they’ve just spent weeks or months under incredible stress and now they are finally home. We just don’t find out about them, because they don’t wind up testing positive.

Just look at the money he saved the American people by not demanding a special plane to bring him home from West Africa.
(Sarc)
He had to know before he left that he might have contracted Ebola so he could be back in the states before he showed symptoms. He must be charged with reckless endangerment.

They are perfect future lifers for the Public Health Service and career administrators. I know from the time my Wife had to do her public health payback. The paybacks were dumped on and bailed quickly after their indentured servitude was up. The pajama boys and girls stayed on for life.

There is still confusion amongst the politicos as to why the PHS cannot maintain competent physicians. You are looking at the future leaders of that government agency. Not really that hard to figure out.

Everything this government has become and does is a detestable thing.
