Howard Dean on Ebola: "I Discount Everything Republicans Say;" Rick Perry "An Ignoramus" (video)

HOWARD DEAN: "The travel ban doesn't at add a whole lot. However, when we know -- Rick Perry, of course, is his usual ignoramus self. He knows nothing. The travel ban, first of all, there's no direct flights from West Africa from Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea to the United States... As we say in New York, this stuff is all bupkis, this is nonsense. He's clearly into this for the politics and the press. Which is going to be a little tough for him when people find out he doesn't know anything, although they may know that already."

There were a number of flaws in the system, all of which can be traced back to DemonRATs as individuals or to the policies they enacted. And since Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital is a non-profit, there was no accountability to shareholders to do things efficiently. Likewise, lacking the profit motive as an incentive, a lot of shoddy work habits were the norm. And this Amber Vinson creature is likely a DemonRAT. Her utterly illogical behavior is so typical of hussein supporters. And characterizing her actions as “illogical” is generous on my part. Deep down, I think she deliberately and maliciously sought to spread her infection far and wide, as was the case with Duncan.

Howard Dean is one of the California Raisans. He used to stop by the Barrel Club in Dana Point to perform at the open mic nights.

His music sucked, but oddly the crowd used to get into his gyrations. He used to stand on a chair and try to imitate the ceiling fan while cracking walnuts between his knees.

Quite entertaining... and that is why we should consider him for president.

Gee.. what a tool.. ive done a substantial amount of international travel the last two years for business.

Custom is very clear they want all the countries you traveled to not the direct flight from... its all in your passport.. and many country do a health screening to enter. .

Plus you have a visa process per country.. some simple some hard... plus costly. . both China and Argentina charge about a hundred sixty bucks for a visa to get into their country that you pay way in advance and must have before you even leave ....you not even allow on the plane if you dont have

Indonesia charges you a visa fee to get in and a visa fee to get out

Howard is correct on the flights from Monrovia but direct flights to JFK only ended at the end of August. From Wiki:

It was announced in October 2008 that U.S. carrier Delta Air Lines, as part of a major expansion of its route network in Africa, would begin a once-weekly service between Atlanta and Monrovia, via Sal, Cape Verde.[18]

The proposed service would have commenced in June 2009, utilizing a B757 ETOPS in a two-class configuration. The news marked the return of an American carrier and direct flights to the United States for the first time since Pan Am's withdrawal, and was therefore seen as a major step in the recovery of not just the airport, but Liberia itself.

The route was revised in May to originate from New York's JFK and connect via Dakar, beginning on 9 June, Monday, and returning every Tuesday.[19]
One week prior to the inaugural flight, Delta announced that its planned launch would be suspended indefinitely. It was reported widely that the carrier had been denied permission by the Transportation Security Administration due to a lack of acceptable security standards at Robertsfield.[20] Neither Delta nor the TSA issued any further explanation. However, Cynthia B. Nash, a prominent Atlanta businesswoman, stated in an interview coinciding with her appointment as Liberia's Honorary Consul in August 2009 that she expects Roberts International to upgrade its security to meet TSA standards and for the Delta to launch the flight “within the year.”[21] Coinciding with these comments, it was reported in the Liberian press that a division of Lockheed Martin was to take over management of Robertsfield.[22]

On 5 September 2010, Delta launched once weekly flights between Atlanta and Monrovia; with a stop in Accra. In January 2011, Delta Air Lines increased flights to twice a week (Sundays and Wednesdays). As of August 2012, the flight now operates a B767 thrice-weekly to and from New York-JFK while maintaining the stop in Accra.[23] Delta Air Lines ceased service to Monrovia on 31 August 2014 due to weak passenger demand.[24]

There are flights that go from Guinea to Morocco to JFK. So this idiot wants to put his trust in Morocco to screen passengers to NYC.

Fine. Go right ahead. As long as you live in NYC, asshole.

As an aside, the various airline alliances allow one to book a code share ticket through Oneworld, SkyTeam or the Star Alliance - one paid ticket with a multi-segment flight plan and several airlines.

I would call phooey on his claim.

Howie, I heard republicans say that you should never play with your tinker toys on the highway during rush hour. I think you should disregard that nonsense. How stupid!

He was once able to inspire an also-ran asterisk number of Democrat voters in his bid for the White House. He’s certainly my choice in givers of advice.

Obama utterly failed in his most basic responsibility, to keep America safe. He is the Chief Executive in charge. Ebola was a known threat. His policies allowed it to come to the US. Obama cannot hide behind congress, or behind some bureaucrat. Obama owns this miserable failure. May his soul burn in hell.

Yes, Dean is so crazy he does not recognize it but he is a useful idiot to Obola.

Please call congress and tell them that we must be deadly serious about containing Ebola by strict quarantine within the United States and from infected nations. This is our right and our duty and it is THEIR duty to protect US.

Capitol switchboard is 202-224-3121 or Google your congressman or senator and get his contact information and call him / her office directly. You can also call or go to their local offices.

I believe decisive response is urgent because you can’t put this Ebola genie back in the bottle once it gets out. It is a fire, it consumes all the fuel it can get and the fuel is people. The only way to stop a fire is to block it from the fuel or cool it with water. A vaccine or medicine to treat Ebola would be the water and we don’t have reliable, enough or any.

Every possible measure must be taken to stop the spread before draconian measures are imposed. What is being done now is sloppy. We are walking a dangerous road. The threat is blossoming by the day if not hour. Almost every hour there is some new Ebola development and none of them are good. This is a serious and potentially deadly event. Unchecked it could destroy or weaken the United States and facilitate our destruction by others. It has that potential for every country and that is why so many are responding with such strict quarantines. These consequences, no matter how small the probabilities, demand a full effort and significant response.

Ebola is being spread here in the United States right now. First Texas, then Ohio then? Terror is an excellent weapon. It disrupts, confuses, paralyzes and destroys a society. Many others and we on FR have speculated that terrorists may spread Ebola. How do you that remember 9/11 feel right now compared to what you felt then? Do you want to gather your loved ones near you to protect them? I do. Even more than I did on September 11, 2001! Isn’t this passive response by this administration accomplishing the very same things a terrorist would want?
When something is being done that makes as little sense as what Obama is doing there has to be some other reason. I leave it to you dear reader to draw your own conclusions as to the reasons.
What is happening now is insane. It makes no sense at all. For example the head of CDC says: “Stopping travel from Africa won’t do any good because you have to get people into Africa to fight Ebola.” “You can’t get Ebola from an infected person on a bus but an infected person should never be on a bus because he can infect others.” “Blocking travel from infected countries would damage their fragile economies.” What about ours? What about our safety? What about resources we have paid for that should be protecting us?

Even the most despotic dictatorship in Africa has acted to protect his nation by strict quarantine and stopping travel from infected countries. Even CDC, the UN and WHO advocate and credit strict quarantine for nipping the spread of Ebola in the bud at the source in places like Senegal and Nigeria where both have had faster and more successful outbreak controls than we have had here. 35 countries have stopped travel of people from infected West African countries. It is so obvious even a child could understand it so why is it OK for people from infected countries to travel here?
I will post this message and keep posting it until someone stops me.
