Standard hospital protocol for a breach of a isolation patients are medical staff isolate themselves and stay local so hospital physicians can check in on you at all hours.
There is no way a nurse working in that isolation unit where there was a breach was cleared to travel. She had no reason to call the CDC.

This nurse working on the isolation unit which is usually a ICU nurse.
They know protocols and know to self quarantine.
Hospital staff are divided into various expertise and experience levels.

TGH uses alot of LPNs which are usually treating geriatric care patients.

I think that DM was written before my post which broke later in the week.

But also know the DM will commonly have two different angles or stories on the same topic.

This whole CDC phone call story line sounds like a made up story.

The CDC is not in charge of this Dallas based 600 bed teaching hospital and its policies or any hospital in the US.

Why would a Isolation RN ever call the CDC ?
She has to call her bosses at UT Presby which run a Nursing School .There is no way she was okay-ed by her supervisors and the UT Medical Director to travel after she was exposed to this patient.

They may play the “Kelly File” program on Ebola again on Fox—often do. It was informative.

Tho comments were not in print nor were they from the source, it has always been my concern with fever/temperature monitoring that people could take Tylenol, and if he was correct, that may be why the CDC has been saying she may have been more symptomatic on first flight.

Geez, the times in which we live are really tense. My daughter, a healthcare worker, asked if I thought things will ever get back to normal. I said, “I think it will take a while” :(
