‘Thanks for that very helpful info.’

‘I pray that both Miss Vinson and Miss Pham make a complete recovery and no one else is infected.’

Amen.

ER visits in big cities at least are not very fast. If you come in at 8 p.m., you easily wouldn’t be out until early morning the next day.

She called. She didn’t call. Someone is lying.

Tomorrow will be day 21 for Louise. Can’t wait to hear, “Where’s my stuff?!?! Some needs to give me more stuff!!!”

Another day has passed without a peep from MIA Jessie.

The CDC is run by Dem party hacks.
I have flown in and out of Dallas for the last three weeks for work.

I am pissed off that a licensed nurse who worked on this patient in a isolation ward knowingly
broke quarantine and exposed hundreds including folks at the airports.

Everyone was been talking about it in health-care and the 21 day quarantine for front line staff .

A licensed nurse to break quarantine is a huge violation of her license and they all know it.

Help me understand your point here. She is black, yet she may have treated Duncan badly because he was black?
What am I missing? Thanks

We are way past Orwell here.

But, not to worry the games are on and pizza delivery is still possible. Just think what will happen when the games and pizzas stop coming?

That’s what I am wondering. This is a PERFECT opportunity for Republicans in power now to rise up and hit them while this is going on. If they can’t take advantage of this gift the Dems have given, then the (R) party deserves to lose in the midterm. If they don’t demand action then they are complicit in their inaction the way I see it.

I am more scared of the isolated pockets of Various subcultures that exists in every city.
Ever walk thru China town in SF ?

These people really don't live in the mainstream USA and a problem like this could go undetected for weeks .

I already agreed that she showed poor judgement -stupidity even. She’s also paying for that and it remains to be seen if she lives long enough to be prosecuted.

She’s in isolation now - so going forward and stopping this from going forward will be important. So far the institutions and officials responsible for stopping this haven’t shown that they are up to the task.

You should care about the CDC and all the other incompetent people who are supposed to be “experts” giving out faulty advice, rules, and in general endangering everyone with their incompetence.

Interesting that you work in health care - has your organization prepared for an Ebola patient to walk through the doors? Have you had any first hand experience in treating patients with Ebola?

If so, maybe you could share some knowledge with people on this thread who may be curious as to what they should do in the event they or a family member are exposed.

Are you planning, or making any preparations for being quarantined in case you are exposed?

‘ER visits in big cities at least are not very fast. If you come in at 8 p.m., you easily wouldn’t be out until early morning the next day.’

Truth! I lived in the Boston area until a few yrs ago. The place was crawling with illegals. You would go to the ER and just camp out. Hour after hour after hour. I was once in the ER with unendurable pain. Tough toenails. About a hundred illegals were in front of me, & that was that.

The new Ebola fixer is on the job like obola is. He missed today’s Ebola meeting. I’m sure CNN will be reporting this any minute.

I can explain. Jesse Jackson said Duncan got substandard care because blacks in America are not treated like whites. So the poster was pointing out that JJ indicted a black nurse as well.

& a good point it was, imho.

"She just ignored everything and wanted that dress so she jumped on a plane ?"

Yes, then blamed her stupidity on the CDC. An easy sell if you ask me.

Because Race trumps everything else, even the lives of the American people, the CDC was told to suck it up and cover for the wayward Vinson.

This timeline to me shows that the dynamics of the Western World are not conducive to a larger wave of Ebola infection.

If you look at all of the incompetence, miscommunication and shoddy PPE from September 24th to September 28th, to have what now appears to be ZERO infections stemming from that is stupefying.

I am now firmly of the opinion that Ebola is not going to get a foothold outside of the Third World, even with the current level of half baked screening of travelers.

What WILL happen, on the other hand, is that this will create a huge waste of time and money with all the contact monitoring. Just imagine the thousands of workers (especially Union leeches) being given three weeks paid vacation (I bet they revise it upwards to six) just for claiming contact. This is going to become a farce, although I guess we should just be thankful that it’s not going to be a US tragedy.
