Harvin’s 2014 stats are mediocre, and they are not paying him $10 million to be mediocre. They need salary cap room to pay Russell Wilson next year, and decided to unload an over-paid non-performer who’s also a major head case. The fact that they got so little in return says it all. If there’d been a bidding war for Harvin, they would have ended up with more than a middle-round draft puck.
The Seahawks have been mediocre this year, 3-2 and they could well have lost to Denver. With Golden Tate gone, Harvin was the most dangerous receiver, and is a proven game breaker from Minnesota and at times with Seattle.
There must have been some issues concerning his health or his attitude because when he’s really part of an offense few are more dangerous.
