Sen. Rand Paul took a playful jab at Michelle Obama and her healthy eating initiatives that condemn all types of junk food, tweeting to her handle to let her know the location of his first New Hampshire stop — Dunkin’ Donuts.
He wrote, to his nearly half a million followers: “Just arrived in Manchester, New Hampshire. First stop: @DunkinDonuts cc: @MichelleObama,” The Hill reported.
He didn’t specify his menu choices — but the jab was obviously at Mrs. Obama’s “Let’s Move!” anti-obesity campaign.
The first lady has fielded considerable fire from schools, parents and hungry students who say her cafeteria dictates are costing a lot of taxpayer dollars, usurping the roles of mom and dad and leaving diners — particularly athletes, who have higher calorie needs — outright starving.

With people like Michelle Obama, and liberals in general, there seems to be an “absolutist” position, if you will.
On this issue of healthy eating and all that, we are going too far. Kids in school aren’t eating these allegedly healthy lunches. They are throwing them out.
Paul makes a point, in that, there’s nothing wrong with going to Dunkin Donuts sometimes. If you make a steady diet of junk food, yes, that is bad for you. If you go to fast food or a donut place once in a while, your health will be fine.
We have lost any concept of degree or nuance with liberals.
And regarding Michelle Obama and her food deserts in our inner cities, political correctness forbids us from having honest discussions about why major chain supermarkets avoid locating in these areas.

Sorry Rand. You are what you are. Jokes don’t change that.
You have to be pretty far out in fringe land to call Rand Paul a "flaming liberal". Please feel free to point to me all of Paul's leftist votes in the Senate.
As of now, I like Walker for President, but Paul is certainly someone I can live with getting elected.

You might want to have a look through Randy’s statements in the past year because he is pretty open about what he believes. And conservative it ain’t unless you like redefining the word.
Sorry, Dunkin Donuts haven’t been good since they stopped frying them in trans fats. They can keep their baked donuts.
