Wow Aurorales, that is exactly what called out to me when I was skimming through the bls.gov website some 10 or so years ago. And then I found out just how long it takes to get the degree, how much money I’d end up putting out. I was impatient. I felt that I was already too “old” (only in my early 30’s mind you) to wait that long to get a degree and get going in a career. I was dumb. Now I really am too old lol. The 4 years you have behind you...you can always pick up where you left off when you’re ready though right?

I hope somebody files a complaint with the Texas state Board of Nursing.

I’m a nurse with 35 years of clinical experience and think her behavior clearly warrants this.

While I actually agree with you re: nurses, I think you're being too hard on this kid. Hindsight is 20/20. She's young, she probably thought she was invincible.

Was what she did irresponsible and foolish? Absolutely. But calling her a piece of garbage is uncalled for.

By the way, my wife is a nurse. I know there are lots of good, professional nurses. But there are also lots of nurses who sit around and gab at the nurses' station while their patients get less than excellent care.

She is a college educated woman.

She was aware of the dead patient, sick co worker, and the death rate of Ebola.

She put her family in mortal danger. She put the rest of us in mortal danger.

She is a selfish piece of garbage.

I stand by my initial statement.

Also...She is no kid. She is 29 years old.

I am not asking her to be perfect or a saint. I expect some level of human decency from a so-called educated care giver.

Not in defense, but by way of explanation, this young nurse was told by the CDC people that she was fine and she had done everything correctly and according to protocol so her risk was low. That’s what they were telling us too, there’s little risk.

Probably an Obama voter, idolizes this administration, etc.

Planning her wedding, not a time for tons of common sense action.

Now in defense of nurses... yes some are rotten. Glad you clarified that we aren’t all terrible wastes of genetic material though!

the ladies in the bridal shop would know if she was feeling ill because she would have mentioned or complained of body aches, headache, fever, intestinal distress

this is horrible and tragic

yet the CDC assured this nurse she was “low risk” and that I believe put her in denial mode

It would also explain why when she arrived in Texas she was reported to be so much sicker so much faster than the other nurse. The next week could be critical for her

Are you kidding? Biden will be President!

At this point, I'd gladly take Biden over Obola. Biden might be an incompetent idiot, but I don't think he shares Obola's virulent hatred of the US, and I don't think he wants to see it destroyed.

This morning the news is reporting that the CDC and officials are now trying to contact those on board her flight from Dallas to Cleveland and the several additional trips that plane made before the plane became suspect and decontaminated.

That ups the persons-of-interest to around 1,000.

==

But, hey they only sat next to her or where she had been, so according to CDC doctor, they couldn’t catch it by casual contact. [/s]

... I didn’t catch who he was because I wasn’t actively watching but I did hear him say she did not personally call the CDC.

Just overheard a news segment on this -- her uncle said she contacted her hospital in Dallas, and the hospital in turn contacted the CDC.

You’re never too old. If you’re in your early 40s, then think where you can be when you’re in your early 50s. You are *never* too old to start new things. And to learn.

Well, you see them hugging all the time. Maybe that would kill 2 birds with one stone. Then again, we’d have Boehner.
