Have you got any screen grabs?

Of course:

OSX Yosemite

New view of Finder

New look for Finder

New Icons for Folders

Apple Safari tab view with tabs from other devices

iMessage updated

Facetime's new look

Yosemite Mail with Mark-Up

From Apple:

Yosemite introduces innovative new features, including:

Yosemite also delivers platform technologies that make it easier for developers to create amazing new Mac apps. Swift™ is a powerful, next-generation programming language for iOS and OS X that’s fast, modern, interactive and helps developers write safer and more reliable code. SpriteKit makes it easier for developers to incorporate realistic motion, lighting and physics in games and when integrated with SceneKit, makes it simple to create games with animated 3D scenes and effects.

Everyone download and install, NOW!

(This way the show stopper bugs that would impact me will get fixed by 10.10.3, which I _might_ consider installing…)

So no more icons on the Desktop?

Where do you get that idea? I still have all of mine.

I have been using the beta for almost three months now and have not noticed any bugs on my four year old Macbook Air.

Downloaded over WiFi, installed, and up and running on my MBP in less than an hour last night.

Really not a lot to remark on yet; obviously some UI changes that might take a little while to get used to (not sure if I like the “flat” design compared to Mavericks, but I do like how clean Safari is, for example).

Trying to test out Handoff now - really looking forward to this feature, though I’m more eager for Continuity (they’re kind of related though).

Anyone see this yet? In iTunes, when I select the AirPlay icon, I get an option for “Single” or “Multiple”... have they introduced multicast AirPlay???

Now that would be cool... send to multiple AppleTVs and other devices.

If it is truly multicast, then the next thing I’d like is to have an iOS app that allows the device to be an airplay receiver. Multicast content to all of the iPads and iPhones in a conference room (on an opt-in basis)? Awesome.

I am tempted, but every time I upgrade I have to upgrade iTunes and the last time it went full 'tard on me - wiped out all my customized genre/composer settings.

It's a laborious process getting it back and I'm only halfway there. Don't want Apple to screw me over again.

The “new Finder” is a window. No icons are shown on the Desktop.

I have to say, after using it all day, I think the light style and the fonts look gorgeous on my MacBook’s retina display. Curious to see how they’ll look in the 21” iMac when I upgrade it this weekend.

Updated my early 2008 Mac Pro last night. Looks good!

It is time for me to look at a replacement though. It’s almost 7 years old... Looking at the new 5K Retina 27” iMac

Upgraded over night. Painless. A few issues with some applications that I use, but straightforward.

Been that way since at least Leopard, hasn't it?
