My military experience is from before Tet 1967 to 1971. And yours?
I saw US military do things they knew weren’t “right”, but they did what they were told. To follow orders is what they are trained for, and the majority will do so. A certain instilled camaraderie and fear hold a military unit together. The rank and file don’t want to do a lot of things, but they will follow orders. That’s why we’ve seen cases like Malmedy and My Lai. Do you think every private in the ranks, German or American, was gleefully murdering people? But they did follow orders, and the majority will again.
I spent a tour in Nam too.
These isolated incidents like My Lai were performed against foreign nationals. It was a pity it happened but they were not Americans in their own country. I still stand by my belief that our Military would not fire on other Americans here on American soil.

Maybe the homos and a few other sordid losers who wear a uniform would open fire on US Constitutionalists....
But it is doubtful that the majority of them would do it.
FRiends around here need to remember the hard lesson that Ceausescu learned in December 1989 when he tried turning the entire Romanian military on the civilian population there.
Obama’s own version of Securitate forces and other like-minded losers might try to shoot it out with Americans in some desperate final act of tyranny, but 100 of them will be sent straight to the depths of hell for every American they kill in cold blood.
Bank on that.
