I don’t trust Freeh but anything in that report which may be critical of the trustees or exculpatory as to Paterno would be against the wishes of the girls what brung him to this dance and therefore, to that limited extent credible.

If McQueary had acted, Sandusky would have been out of circulation then and there and thereby McQueary would have saved the molesting of other kids
...certainly, things would have been much different, and MM has certainly earned his current dark reputation...but, in addition to the natural shock he must have felt at seeing what he took to be molestation, he was walking on eggshells trying to garner a coveted position in the football hierarchy,and taking it upon himself to pummel a revered campus figure probably wouldn’t enhance his resume...perhaps he was so skittish that he was afraid to sneeze without Paterno’s permission...who knows...
then Curley was the proper person for Paterno to report to as Paterno’s superior in the athletic department.
...the delicious irony of that statement is that Paterno hand picked his good friend Curley to replace him as AD...the notion that Paterno in any way ‘reported’ to Curley is, at the least, amusing...
