Okay...I have been reading many of the Ebola-related threads. This crap scares me, as I'm sure it scares many of you.
I have seen posts that say this is going to spread due to the administration's incompetence. I have also seen posts that say it will spread due to the desire for the country's destruction by the same administration.
This thread is to find out what you think the outcome is going to be. Martial law? Death on a massive scale? Suspension of elections and/or the Constitution? Will there be a public backlash? Or do you think it's going to fizzle out and things go back to 'normal'?

I think that it will get worse as long as those daily passenger-filled 747s keep flying in from Liberia.
Thanks for the post. I read a book about a future Ebola outbreak several years ago, and now here we are, and none of our officials in government seem to be taking this seriously as the book warned about.
I think Africa gets hammered but it doesn’t get too bad in the USA.
Just so you appreciate what Ebola really is.. It is a Biosafety Level 4 agent!
Biosafety level 4
This level is required for work with dangerous and exotic agents that pose a high individual risk of aerosol-transmitted laboratory infections, agents which cause severe to fatal disease in humans for which vaccines or other treatments are not available, such as Bolivian and Argentine hemorrhagic fevers, Marburg virus, Ebola virus, Lassa virus, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, and various other hemorrhagic diseases. This level is also used for work with agents such as smallpox that are considered dangerous enough to require the additional safety measures, regardless of vaccination availability. When dealing with biological hazards at this level the use of a positive pressure personnel suit, with a segregated air supply is mandatory. The entrance and exit of a level four biolab will contain multiple showers, a vacuum room, an ultraviolet light room, and other safety precautions designed to destroy all traces of the biohazard. Multiple airlocks are employed and are electronically secured to prevent both doors from opening at the same time. 30-50 more people will be infected tops. Elections will be affected by the incompetency of the O-bola administration to handle a situation like this, constant warnings about ISIS-ABCD using Ebola, TSA screening for infectious diseases or new security procedures that make flying even more a-pain-in-the-a$$. Ebola testing kits on TV. Email scams involving something like “You’ve tested positive for ebola, please send us your bank account number for cure”....

As long as there is no ‘reservoir animal’ in the U.S. then Ebola’s ability to flourish is limited to human to human contact.
If we have a sudden explosion in the number of cases we will need about a month of very limited travel and a ban on group meetings in order to let the disease burn itself out.
During the 1918 flu outbreak group meetings were prohibited in LA, whether it be schools or church services or movie theaters or whatever. The idea was a citywide quarantine to prevent the disease from spreading.

The probability of some of them contracting Ebola, infecting fellow troops and bringing Ebola back to the U.S. is extremely high.
The Obama Administration is allowing anyone from the Ebola region in Africa to come to the U.S. with no screening and no restrictions. The probability that they will bring Ebola to the U.S. and infect Americans is extremely high.

A wannabe dictators dream. Under the auspices of a medical emergency all rights can be voided and pretty much every act of tyranny is justified.
I think that Ebola is going to further cripple a US population that is already near extinction from the ravages of similarly devastating SARS and Swine Flu pandemics just a few short years ago.
