The party in the new club went into the wee hours Sunday morning. Strawberry daiquiris flowed. Music from DJ Bay Bay pulsed. Teens were chilling and dancing.
Then came the gunfire.
Witnesses said they heard dozens of rounds, maybe 100, rip through a storefront Miami nightclub called The Spot, wedged between a furniture store and a smoke shop.
When the bullets stopped, 15 young people were bloodied, dazed and wounded.

Parenting? Really?
The available parents were home babysitting the children of the 11-, 14- and 15-year-olds.
“Do parents not do ANY parenting any more?”
I remember the old “It’s 11 PM, do you know where your kids are?” trailer to the 10 PM nightly newscast when I and the wife were raising our kids. Better believe we knew and made sure the kids knew we knew!
But today, it isn’t the parents of the hope and change generations’ responsibility. Their kids were supposed to be staying with (actually being raised by) grandma or grandpa. Who woulda thunkit that they were at some nightclub in the wee hours of the morning drinking alcohol.
Maybe the old saying, “a nut doesn’t fall far from the tree” is true. Grandma and grandpa (if there is one to be found) raised irresponsible kids and they are just carrying on the family tradition raising their kids.
As long as the dregs of society are cleansing the streets of the other dregs of society there’ll be no public outcry.
And the above comment has nothing to do with race.

Miami hasn’t had an R mayor in >50yrs.
Miami actually has two Republican congress critters, Broward is the most Democratic county in the state for the past several election cycles. White Gentiles are a tiny minority in Broward (the suburbs of Lauderdale are quite, er, diverse), hence the lack of Republicans in your area.
The other day in the NY Daily News someone posted that whites are 98% of all serial killers in the US. I copied the following from wikipedia.org (not exactly a conservative site):
"According to some sources, the percentage of serial killers who are African American is estimated to be between 13 and 22 percent.
Another study has shown that 16 percent of serial killers are African American, what author Maurice Godwin describes as a "sizeable portion".
However, the 2014 Radford/FGCU Serial Killer Database annual statistics show, for the decades 1900–2010, that the percentage of African American serial killers is 30.7%.
Popular racial stereotypes about the lower intelligence of African-Americans, and the stereotype that serial killers are white males with "bodies stacked up in the basement and strewn all over the countryside" may explain the media focus on serial killers that are white and the failure to adequately report on those that are black."
One interesting fact I have noticed in the Radford/FGCU Serial Killer Database is that for some reason the number of black serial killers has dropped from 40% (2013) to 30% (2014)-why I have no clue.
