I hear you and feel the same. I'm a big fan of the X-Files, in good part because of one of the best screen villains around, William B. Davis. When I saw the shirt below on eBay, I jumped at the chance to make a statement against authority in general and the government in particular.

I wear it every time I go into town. Reactions range from bemused smiles, averting of eyes, and in some cases an ATTA BOY from some of the younger crowd.

They don't need an excuse to declare martial law, they just do it and have done it on a local level several times already. If you follow what going on in PA or what went down when Dorner was running around LA or Boston went boom that will be your template.

They have stockpiled billions of rounds of ammo, militarized the alphabets and distributed ‘free’ MRAPs and other military grade equipment strategically throughout the country, even to school districts.

I'm not sure that a "civilian army" of Eric Holder's people would be prepared for any activity in which they were not the beneficiaries of affirmative action.

Things are indeed getting weird. Connecting the dots is nearly impossible nowadays, with so many new dots appearing almost hourly.

Sadly, this incoherence is leading to conspiracy theories galore. But take a second to look at some of the more egregious dots.

Radical Islam is on a meteoric rise.

Our southern border is wide open.

The “standing army” that the Founders feared is here, in the form of a militarized police force.

Public schools are turning out illiterates.

Open display of religious belief is scorned.

Ebola.

Russia.

A government “opposition party” that doesn’t oppose anything.

I could give 30 more examples of things to worry about, but this short list should suffice to get the discussion started.
