God has blessed us with an abundance of hydrocarbon resources, yet many people have been brainwashed to worship the god of Gaia - and as a consequence they constantly support throwing up obstacles to programs that would increase and improve our energy supply infrastructure. They choose to ignore the end game for these policies — an impoverished society.

Massachusetts is gonna’ look like 19th century England but without coal- heavily bundled-up peasants burning candles and oil lamps by night

The power company is blaming this on the high demand for natural gas, which doesn’t seem right.

Massachusetts’ residents keep blocking pipelines to bring Natural Gas into the area.

For years energy experts have warned that New England would pay a price for wanting to use more and more natural gas for heating buildings and to replace dirty coal-fired power plants for producing electricity, while not making any investments in expanding gas pipelines.

“Just wait, winter heat bills are really going to hurt people.”

And scarcity too. If the brutal cold predicted occurs people are going to be freezing.

Without saying it directly the article says that the cost of fuel oil is also going to skyrocket as the electric companies start using fuel oil when they can’t get Natural Gas.

If Massachusetts was fair, it would charge those who believe in global warming an additional 78% and charge those who believe in Science the same rate that they have been paying.

No kidding. I half expect the power company to tell me they are converting their electric plants to electric power.

They have backed themselves into a corner.

Our local is hydro, and then coal. Western Ma is crazy, but not as crazy as those in the eastern part of the state.

No. It won't. Real world has more constraints than their fantasies.

I wonder if the silly council ever thought about calm and overcast days for a week or so. The silly council wants to be the 'greenest city' at the expense of the citizens.

The DUmmies deserve the people they voted for, nothing less. The city already owns acres of solar panels east of the city that came in at tremendous cost overruns. Who would have thunk it....

If the Farmer's Almanac is correct, and it usually is, the people of MA are in for a bad time of it.

The New Hampshire-based almanac predicts a “super-cold” winter in the eastern two-thirds of the country. The west will remain a little bit warmer than normal.
