Sarah Palin has broken her silence over the family feud two weeks ago, saying shes proud of her daughter for allegedly punching a man in the face during the Rumble in the Tundra.

Same here, except it was a neighbor saying something similar. I eventually sent him youtube clips of what Sarah said and what was on SNL. I told him he was one of the LIVs and he quit speaking to me after I sent him the clip of 0 saying he had 'campaigned in all 57 states but may have missed one or two'. They have moved to Florida.
I think FR is a Sarah Palin echo chamber. I don’t think she is nearly as popular with the general public as she is here. I also don’t think she plans to run for president. I too was very disappointed when she quit her governors job in Alaska,
Yup, she’s a joke to the majority of Americans. As for running, not a chance, that’s not where the money is.
I agree that that’s the challenge she’s had to overcome.
But the Tina Fey caricature wouldn’t have stuck without her family issues and image.
And I would say that all of the Palin family reality TV cashing in has taken her image further in that direction, rather than countering the damage from Fey.
Had Palin instead simply held on to finish her one term as guv and then taken some sort of adjunct think-tank position on international energy policy, or something similar, she’d be a viable presidential candidate today.
Sadly, that wasn’t her direction, nor now likely her future.
I don’t blame Sarah one little bit! Why, after the way she has been treated would she want to be in politics? That is a selfless job, being president is the worst of all.
Enjoy life Sarah, make money, be with your family. The US doesn’t deserve you.
I wasn’t there to see what did or did not happen, but I don’t think this alleged incident will change any minds one way or the other.
People who support her will continue to do so, people who hate her will continue to do so.
To me, what’s most amazing is how she manages to hold her head high, no matter what is thrown at her.
How can you be very disappointed when, now read this closely, You. Don’t. Know. What. Happened?
Did you get that?
You’re disappointed in complete hearsay.
Why?
Another line of crap. Only a NY 'journalist' would be dumb enough to think anyone in Wasilla would not know who Sarah Palin is the minute she enters a room.
Then you have a very shallow discernment factor.
Alaska did much better under her lt governor for the last 18 months of her tenure than it would have with a governor and an administration that was entirely paralyzed by the Left’s taking advantage of a loophole in Alaskan law to barrage the governor, her communications director, her personal assistant, ... and the dozens of state workers who were spending more than half their time gathering information for the Personnel Board to investigate ... frivolous and harassing ethics complaints and FOIA requests.
Please do some more research, understand the depth of evil in politics, and enlighten yourself to out-of-the-box solutions and service-oriented decisions.
Thanks.
You also might want to look at some history. I believe it was president Andrew Jackson who had been forced to resign from an earlier elected office ... but whom, as you may have just read, I typed President Andrew Jackson.
Broaden your knowledge base and thence deepen your discernment skills.
See my reply to Georgias Girl.
The left wing is going after Governor Perry right now as we speak. How humiliating do you think it was for him to have to go down to the courthouse and get a mugshot and fingerprinted? I don’t see him cutting and running and I also don’t see the FR support for him that I would have expected. Rick’s not crying about his legal bills and he’s smart enough to use it to turn lemons into oranges.
“Then you have a very shallow discernment factor”
No I’m just not afflicted with Palin Derangement Syndrome.
How come Rick Perry hasn’t cut and run yet? How incensed are you about the Left wing attack on him? Whats the depth of your discernment factor regarding his treatment?
I also think she is unlikely to run as she has so many obligations with her large family. Particularly to little Trig.
I think Sarah Palin was an excellent Governor of Alaska, I just wish she had stayed and finished the job. Please don’t tell me why she left, I know. I also know if she had stayed and fought her attackers she would have had millions of people donate to her Sarah Pac to spend on lawyers to defend herself. I would have donated, wouldn’t you?
Most people in the US probably would recognize her when meeting her in a public setting.
That’s my point. The vast majority don’t really know Sarah Palin. They only know the phony pantomime cartoon Sarah Palin that the MSM was able to construct and present to them. And likely she will never get out of that shadow.
And more disturbingly I believe the MSM can still do this to any of our candidates they choose.
Obviously they choose to steer clear of Obama and Harry Reid.
Sadly, thats completely true. Cruz bears more than a passing resemblance to both Batista and Joe McCarthy. Can imagine the caricature SLN will paint? A stomping, ranting, paranoid generalissimo? Never mind that Batista was a commie (at least as presidente) and McCarthy was anti-communist (and startlingly correct about their infiltration into our government.)
Well, she set up a legal defense fund, and many donated (including me, I sent $200), but then the same political operatives harrassing her with phoney ethics charges got that stopped too. At the rate she was being ‘sued,’ almost two charges per week by the end (each one costing her $25 to 50,000), she would have been two million in debt by the time her term ended. Unlike many politicians, Palin was not rich, and it was undoubtedly costing a fortune, both for tending a special-needs kid and for security.
She couldn’t even write her book while she was in office, so there was no way for that to happen, either (as some people have contended). The “profitting” from office would have led to dozens more ethics lawsuits. Palin was in an absolutely boxed in, in a totally untenable way. At the time I had hopes (even expectations) that Republicans were going to get together and combat this extreme attack on one of their own. What naivite on my part! I quickly learned that things like honor and loyalty have no place in the Republican Party!
Please! Even if Bristol is a complete mess and I’m not saying that she is, there is no indicator that would be the nail in the coffin in preventing Sarah from winning the presidency. Literally every potential presidential family had dysfunctional family members....the Clinton’s, The Bushes, Carter and his brother, Ron and Patty tried to embarrassed their parents the Reagans and even as far back as Teddy Roosevelt beautiful daughter was a wild one for many in those days
“Had Palin instead simply held on to finish her one term as guv and then taken some sort of adjunct think-tank position on international energy policy, or something similar, shed be a viable presidential candidate today.

Prepare yourself for hrh40 to accuse you of having a shallow discernment factor. LOL!
