Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer head-butted his wife and broke her nose after she refused his sexual advances, and punched her in the face the next day, police said Thursday.

He also threw a shoe at his 17 month old son, but missed. "His wife left the state after the incidents, but came forward a week ago after Dwyer apparently sent suicidal text messages including a photo of a knife."

Seems to me that a collective can of worms has been cracked open. It’s now acceptable to come forward and tell tales about NFL players.

I don’t see why NFL players would have any fewer problems than the rest of society, but they sure are in the position to have their dirty laundry aired more than the rest of us.

This really looks like an orchestrated attack on the NFL, another American institute.

I’ve seen statistics that show law enforcement rank high among spousal abusers. Seems that certain professions have a hard time changing from being aggressive at work to being normal at home. That is a problem.

Drug abusers also have domestic violence tendencies. That is a problem.
