The Mysterious Moderate Muslim

What, and who, is a moderate Muslim?

Islamic values are codified in the Koran. The idea that some Muslims might interpret those values in a moderate way is like saying there’s such a thing as jihad lite. There’s no getting around the fact that a central tenet of the Koran is mass murder – whether through the directive to kill infidels (non-believers), apostates (those who leave Islam), or hypocrites (Muslims who don’t practice their religion appropriately). In other words, most of civilization is fair game for slaughter. What, pray tell, would be a moderate version of that?

And if people try to suggest there are many peaceful verses in the Koran, they are either uninformed or practicing taqiyya, because older, more peaceful teachings are abrogated by more recent violent teachings, as written in Sura 2, Verse 106. Jihad Watch reports:

The moderate muslim is like the political moderate - a coward who is afraid to make any real stand on principle.

They will not rein in extremists. They will keep their heads down, their mouths shut, and submit.

In my opinion, the resistance to HizbAllah in Lebanon was based more on their traditional sectarian politics, with Sunnis and Christians opposing Shia domination, than it was a popular repudiation of a militant interpretation of Islam.

In Egypt, I would argue that there was a bit of this repudiation, but more a popular reaction against a tanking economy and abuse of their liberties, as well as a counter-revolution by the old regime.

The West has surrendered in the ideological battle by simply saying Islam is a religion of peace. The principles which drive their violence must be countered.

The principle of abrogation, where the later sayings of Muhammad override the earlier ones whenever there is a conflict, shows plainly that Muhammad did not reliably speak for an all-knowing God. Yet the Islamic scholarship that promotes terrorism and jihad depends on this arbitrary principle.

The principle of holding Muhammad as the best example of humanity, establishes that no one can make judgements that vary form his - so all judgement is removed from consideration, in favor of blind obedience to a demonstrably flawed character.

Those totalitarian and anti-intellectual principles must be undermined in favor of using a principle of moral analysis and individual conscience.

I can well recall that a great many of those “moderate Moslems” cheered as the World Trade Center came down.

A moderate muslim is not, a muslim that is. Because they do not follow the Koran and try to kill all infidels

Moderate muslims are the ones that only kill the adult males, while they merely rape the females and enslave the children?

Or are they the ones that give you a chance to pay the jizya and obey sharia law before they chop your head off?

You are misinformed, the piece of the puzzle you missed is that Mohamad stated that there is only one true Islam, his. All other branches of Islam are apostates and must be killed. This set all branches of Islam at odds.

They were not fighting for ‘moderation’, but survival. Islam, like a biker bar respects only strength. If any sect succeeds in convincing the others by their strength that they are the prophesied final Caliphate, you will see Islam reach ‘critical mass’. The 90 % of ‘moderates’ will become radicalized almost overnight.

Having lived amongst Muslims for a decade, I know of what I speak.

“Who is the “god” of islam?”

He is the one who is the father of all who reject the Son:

“18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” 1 John 2:18-23

“39 “Abraham is our father,” they answered.

“If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. 40 As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. 41 You are doing the works of your own father.”

“We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” - John 8:39-44

I find this article to be unusually accurate for western thinkers. Ignore those ...smirking and laughing, resisting being educated at all cost

Well said. Anyone who chooses a death cult bent on world conquest by torture and mass genocide for a religion is simply evil.

The Mysterious Moderate Muslim

This is such an often repeated lie, ( moderation in any form ) that there is no point trying to educate the ignorant. They must educate themselves.

I am of course referring to non-muslims; muslims are hopelessly locked into a plethora of lies and different interpretations in subgroups that the only thing that keeps each of them from eliminating the others is the pathological hatred of what has sustained them for generations, and continue to do so to this day.

After decades of reading, researching and verifying the murderous bloody history of islam, without a clue as to what drives them all to unite with an irrational hatred of modernity, I finally found an individual I had never heard of before. I accidentally ran across his name and his book, written almost 40 years ago.

Among The Believers, by V.S. Naipaul, 1981, Alfred A. Knopf, Inc.

Anyone who cares, and can find a copy can get an education equivalent to a dozen history books, both in regard to the development of islam over 1400 years, and the confused quandary that the contemporary Islamic countries have to deal with. Even Bernard Lewis, the preeminent muslim authority alive, cannot bring himself to express what he can plainly see.

But beyond the carefully completely laid out history of the sick religion and its myriad branches, the insights gathered throughout his travels, by speaking to the locals at all levels, brings the hopelessness of the muslim mess into sharp focus.

I was planning to post a few paragraphs from the book but I have yet to leave the fascinating chapter on Iran, the First Chapter.

He visited countries which account perhaps to 90% of all muslims, excluding Saudi Arabia (a lapse I am sure will be explained later in the book.)

In addition to Iran, he visited Pakistan, Malaysia and Indonesia, and Iran again on the way back home to London.

The value of his timely book is the analysis of Iran, immediately after the replacement of the Shah with the totalitarian ayatollahs, which made the Shah look like an amateur in terms of bloody inhumanity and irrational hatred against everything and every part of the outside world.

The Iranian people never knew what hit them, and most of the educated, productive and rational Iranians are now expatriates, scattered worldwide.
(Sort of like the similar hope and changey thing the USA experienced in 2008.)

What remains in Iran today is a 7th Century population, totally dependent on the "technological West," which paradoxically, they do everything possible to destroy.

I can't recommend this book too highly.

Islam is not a religion it’s a political party.

A militant, violent, irrational armed mob of 1.3 billion.

Islam is ...

1. An oppressive set of rules controlling the most minute aspect of individual lives, interpreted by illiterate ayatollahs educated in 7th Century values.
2. Religious rituals and laws which must take precedence to any possible civil law worldwide.

3. A genetic propensity to explosive reaction to dissent, and an animalistic bloody tendency to kill as much as possible to satisfy, maintain and enforce 1. and 2.

And, like gunpowder, lacking any one of its three main ingredients, it ceases to be "islam."

Islam and a free, rational, democratic society are utterly and permanently mutually exclusive.

Quoting Jewish or Christian scriptures is a loser's game. A futile exercise which reduces the practitioner to the same level as the Muslim Mass Murderers. It eschews reason and humanity, and embraces mindless dogma.

Islam must and can only be defeated through the triumph of secular reasoning and rational examinations of dogmas, and application of philosophies thousands of years older than a highway robber's religion from an insignificant primitive stone age culture incapable of surviving without predation of cultures greater and better than themselves.

History could not be any clearer.

And double thank you for allowing me to stop plowing through the paper copy, which prevents instant electronic bookmarks and highlighting, as well as allowing an instant review of related information way back in some chapter which really makes a chore out of reading historical non-fiction.

I'll check it out ASAP. Thanks again. I was unable to find it.

“A futile exercise which reduces the practitioner to the same level as the Muslim Mass Murderers.”

The fact that you can make such an assinine statement means your opinion is completely worthless to me, as you have no discernment at all.

Islam, with all the other works of the devil, will be finally defeated by Christ himself at his return, and if you think we will ever be rid of them before that day, you are sure to be disappointed.
