They need to clear out Times Square of these characters. It has gotten way out of control.

Worst is that naked cowboy. There should be obscenity laws that cover that. I do not need my child seeing that and thinking it’s OK and just funny.

Better yet, stay the hell out of NYC.

“naked cowboy”?
How could you tell he was a naked cowboy vs a naked astronaut or a naked ... whatever?

I would figure there’s enough crime in other parts of NY that they could split up.

Levity aside, the ‘Naked Cowboy’ actually wears a set of white briefs but the hat, the boots and the guitar are certainly unmistakable accoutrements and for anyone still unclear he has his nickname written on the seat of his BVDs.

It’s a mostly harmless example of liberals’ ‘good’ ideas going horribly wrong.
The vacuum of normal, productive life - even in a tourist-y spot - allows the freaks to flood in. Desperate for attention in a city of 10 million that would otherwise ignore them (for good reason), they gladly wear Halloween costumes year-round.
Even worse are the tourists, who think it’s all an East Coast Disney World with Captain America and Superman taking the place of Mickey & Minnie Mouse. Presumably, they came to New York to see landmarks, museums and history but that one little snapshot with/for their kid can’t hurt, right? Well, yes it can when thousands of snaps are taken each day. The fairy tale is dashed quickly when the ‘superhero’ asks you in a menacing fashion to cross his palm with silver. Two bucks? ‘You can afford more than that,’ they have been documented to frequently say. And so, $10 for a ‘free’ photo (using one’s own phone/camera) for a snap with a gutter dweller with a drug/alcohol problem. I suppose it beats a tin cup and a sign!
As one NY Post columnist put it, this is the return of Squeegee Man.

Two crime-fighting characters in Times Square have landed in the spotlight, and its not for saving lives. The NYPD told 1010 WINS two men, one dressed as Batman and another dressed as Spider-Man, were arrested after a brawl with another man...
They third guy got away. All they know is that he had a big red “S” on his chest and he yelled “UP, UP AND AWAY” as he leaped over a couple of buildings and out of sight. I think police are still pursuing him, though.

23-year-old Thomas Rorke heckled the superheroesI wonder if their defense attorney can work with that. There's The Joker, there's The Riddler, they figured this guy is The Heckler, who knows what evil scheme he has in store for the city.
