Obama’s ship is sinking
New York Post ^ | September 14, 2014 | Michael Goodwin

The rising clamor over the beheading of two Americans, and rapidly sinking polls, forced President Obama to reassure the nation last week he had a plan to deal with the Islamic State. He did some of what he had to do, but only some, and so most military analysts believe the expanded airstrikes will not be a sufficient match for the size and weaponry of the terrorist army. They miss the point. The disjointed speech wasn’t really about terrorism and launching a new war. It was about saving Obama’s presidency. He is sinking fast and could soon pass the point of no return. In fact, it may already be too late to save the SS Obama. The whole second term has been a string of disasters, with the toxic brew of his Obamacare lies, middling economic growth and violent global breakdown casting doubt on the president’s stewardship. Six years into his tenure, nothing is going as promised. Earlier on, he could have trotted out his teleprompters and turned public opinion his way, or at least stopped the damage. But the magic of his rhetoric is long gone, and not just because the public has tuned him out. They’ve tuned him out because they’ve made up their minds about him. They no longer trust him and don’t think he’s a good leader.

Ain’t no big thing. The commie and Nazi America-haters are “Ready for Hillary” anyway.

So? Does anyone here think he’ll quit or be impeached or that there will be a coup de etat?

I avoid that subject like the plague and I would advise you to do the same.

I’m not suggesting it, but a coup de etat is no longer out of the realm of possibility. Right now, it is like an 8% chance, but that could rise swiftly if things go complete FUBAR. Problem is Biden is no replacement even if impeachment successful.

Barack Obama has to go into the history books as a loser and not a victim or a martyr. Even the usual suspects are giving up on him, but still welcome the spending and other bad habits that run rampant through the administration.

If both go, Mr. Boehner is in.

Quit? And give up free golf every weekend, free luxury vacations every other month, and celebrity parties at the White House every six weeks (not to mention getting paid to play X-Box all day)? Not a chance.

True but without meaning.

Obama has all the levers of power at his fingertips. And no one is stopping him from using that power to complete his mission of destroying America.

This will only change if he is impeached, convicted, removed from the White House, and imprisoned.

Just making an observation about the history of republics.

What's also interesting is that quite often the failed leader is "thrown under the bus" in contemporary parlance by a member of his own faction who is seeking to avoid going down with the sinking ship, or a coalition of factions seeking to preserve their own interests.

Putting aside a Senatorial conspiracy of the Roman sort, it will be interesting to see what the Dem (and media) takes on Obama are if they get a real shellacking in the midterms: I wonder if the Republicans could 'reach across the aisle' and get the Dems to sign up for removing Obama to help save their butts.

Obama isnt feeling too well and wants to spend more time with his family. MSM is just deciding whether Biden is going to be worth the effort if Hillary isn’t ready yet.

He's run out of cover stories, all but one:

2008: At last Bush is gone! The world will now be peaceful and the country a utopia of racial comity!

2009: Bush made a bigger mess than we thought, but the unicorns pooping skittles are on the way! Oh, by the way, 0bamacare. Because we say so. And if you don't like it you're a racist.

2010: If Bush hadn't messed up the world we'd be at utopia by now. We're already nearly there. Because we say so. Any complaints and you're a racist.

2011: Never mind that the Middle East is falling apart. 0bama won the Iraq war and is going to win the Afghanistan war as well. Because he's better than Bush, and if it doesn't work it's Bush's fault. And yours for pointing it out. You racist.

2012: Everything is warm puppies and unicorns, the economy has recovered, and the world is a better place because we say so, you racist.

2013: Who cares that schoolchildren are going hungry, unemployment is in the tank, and 90% of the country is worse off than it was five years ago? We have gay marriage. You racist.

2014: You racist.

It's going to be tough to fill in the free space with good news. Amazingly, people don't appear to be satisfied with incessant golf games, lavish vacations, and 40-car imperial motorcades. It's probably because we're racist.

I have a problem with any one who ever believed Obama was ever a good leader or believed he had good judgement. What were they thinking?

He has OVER two years to finish us off.

That should be enough—after all, he has absolutely no opposition whatsoever.
