War Horses -- The KFPS Royal Friesian Horses
You Tube ^ | 9-13-14

Posted on 09/13/2014 8:05:24 PM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

These horses were originally bred as "war horses" in the days of knights and armour. As armour got heavier, bigger horses were needed and the Friesian almost became extinct. They are back and are one of the most beautiful horses in stature as well as gait.

What gorgeous animals. Just watching them becomes an emotional experience. Can you imagine what it would be like to ride one? Their manes and tails are the longest that I have seen and I noticed that when performing on grass, their hoofs do not kick up a divot, as they land flat footed.

Creatures such as these are what make this world so special. These horses are native to the Netherlands.

Have your audio on.

FRiend, I must have this video, but don't know how to download from YouTube. Could you help me out, please?

Stevens and Smith were sorely pressed,
Doherty and Woods fought as men possessed.
Obama and Clinton witnessed and lied,
American Heroes bled and died!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I don’t know what you mean “download from You Tube”. Do you mean the ability to send the clip to someone else? I can tell you how to do that.

Just click on the URL (at the top of the page) to highlight. Then strike CTRL and C at the same time. Go to your email, or open a Word document, and strike CTRL and V at the same time. That should copy the URL into you email, or your document.

I hope that helps.

Aren’t those horses gorgeous? Someone sent me that clip in my email and I can’t get over it. I never thought I’d particularly like black horses, but those are breathtaking in their beauty.

I wish I had one!!! And yes, it is an emotional thing to see them. Thanks so much for posting.

I thought they’d be a good emotional break from all the truly horrid world news.

Thanks for posting this, Afraid. What spectacular horses and what an amazing gait. Looks to be about as smooth as the Icelandic Horse.

Here's another vid you may all enjoy: Amazing Galloping Horses 1080p HD.

Absolutely magnificent. Their power and grace brought tears to my eyes. I wonder how many of them are turned into dinner by the Dutch and surrounding countries, since those countries are the main European horse eaters. I despise the consumption of horses, since they are raised to trust and love humans. It’s like eating your pet dog, a complete cruel violation of trust.

Thank you so much! I never heard of them before and I can’t imagine why. They are surely the most magnificent animals on the planet! The color, beautiful mane, feathers and elegant gait are just perfect! Thanks again for posting this.

If they are so awesome, why is the video slow motion?
