I had my now-teenage sons watch this movie a couple of years ago as part of a history assignment.

OK, yeah, I just wanted an excuse to watch the movie again myself. LOL.

They loved it. It became one of their favorites. Now and then, they still quote it to each other.

My Mom and I loved this one, as it was more a mystery with comic relief than a typical war film. She had seen it when it came out. Fantastic picture!
Some of the most enjoyable times I had with my parents were those watching movies together and talking about them, the stars, the studio system. I miss them both so, and seeing some of these treasures makes them feel closer. Not to be corny, but thanks for the memories!

I just took a week watching “Winds of War” followed by War and Remembrance” it's follow up..... it's an older movie series I would have never believed possible such a stunning presentation of the War and all that surrounded it.

It was informative and amazing in it's production....the only down side was suffering through Ali McGraws horrible acting. Thank goodness they eliminated her, for that reason, in the follow up. Never thought I'd get so much enjoyment out of an older movie.....I understand that historically it was pretty spot on as well....and the actual war footage intermingled was amazing... Wonderful taking the time to watch these two series...surprising me entirely!
