We woke up to seven or eight inches of snow in the Black Hills. Really pretty on the ponderosa pine boughs. If the wind starts blowing, it could take down some power lines.

Well, if it's several inches, then it is already four inches.

Bleepin' weathermen nowadays have to lie and exaggerate everything, just like politicians, stockbrokers and journalists in general.

I meant no offense to you in Post #4.

In fact your weather report was concise, interesting and perfectly accurate, I would assume.

I can't understand why weathermen and tv "meteorologists" can't just give us meaningful facts and a useful comment or two as did you.

My daughter and family are in Evanston, WY which is in the SW corner of the state and the wind can be fierce. They get big drifts.

Got down into the forties last night here in NW Iowa.

Supposed to be in the thirties tonight.

Haven’t seen a night below 72 in 4 months here in South Florida.
Days still at least 85.
Love to see a 40.

Lucky for ESPN that Fargo ND isn’t going to get it that bad. They’re doing their Gameday broadcast from there Saturday. Western ND doesn’t look that good.

The record low for my area in Colorado was 36F in 1989. The forecast for tonight is 24F!

Four inches! This has to be one of Algore’s “extreme” snow storms caused by global warming/global cooling/climate change. LOL!

Technically it is still summer for another 10 days. But South Dakota has snow.

Artic sea ice has passed it’s summer minimum a full three weeks early, is now increasing, and is expected to return to its historic average.

I think we are in for a doozy of a winter. Early and harsh.

the farmers almanac predicts north central, midwest and eastern U.S. to have colder winter with more than usual this winter, with western states not so much colder and still drier
