I wish he'd campaign for the Majority/Minority Leader job, instead, and I wish/hope/pray his ego is wired for that job instead of like the kind that often runs for POTUS.

The Republicans need to keep and gain members in the Senate and somehow get that place running on Constitution power like it's supposed to and, so far, Cruz says the things that suggest he might the best Senator for that job.

He could potentially be there quite a while, just like the forever elected dinosaurs have been, which is good, since it will take some time under a Constitutionally adept hand to re-power that place as intended.

That's where he's needed and it sure looks like he's qualified and he's in place.

The presidency, however, now more than ever, needs an experienced manager with success as both leader and reformer in a politically hostile environment.

For the Presidency, we would do well to pick from a list of successful Governors, business people, career military, even winning head coaches. Age, life experience and the wisdom that comes from it are required, especially so now!

To reform and restore, we need the symbolic "born and bred all-American successful leader even in the most difficult times" President, because that is exactly the sort of times we will face thanks to the many progressive messes we've elected to rule over US election after election.

Well you have to consider who the Huffington Post’s readers are.

I don’t actually go there, just found the article with a search.

He is probably running ror 2020 or 2024. You don’t make it by starting your run in the couple of years before you would be elected. Reagan didn’t. Serious contenders are lining up their supporters and doing favors for two terms or more before they are truly in the running. Then there is Obama. But Cruzz is certainly not a stealth candidate and the analogues of the forces in the Democrat Party that put the Moslem over, in the Republican Party prefer leftists and leftists disguised as “moderates.”

Romney or Bush III. Nothing will change. The pace of progressivisation will slow a bit but the direction will not change.

He’ll make a great attorney general.

We need a president first. If we don't have a strong candidate in 2016, it's game over. If we run another RINO, whatever creature the Rats run will be president.

I hope he’s running. If he can get in decisively, it may keep the other conservatives out so that we can split the RINO vote in the primaries instead of splitting the conservative vote.
