Indian accuses wife for having an illicit relationship and registering the new born under his name
An Indian husband got shock of his life when his wife delivered a baby boy while he was in a foreign country for employment for years, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
The wife, who worked as a nurse and allegedly had an illicit relationship with a compatriot, delivered a baby boy and registered in the name of her husband while he had not visited her for many years.
The husband, RJ, 48, was shocked when he learnt that his wife had a baby boy on April 22, 2010 at a hospital in Dubai while he didn’t have had with her since 2006.
“In 2006, I received a job offer in Kuwait so I left UAE while my wife and my son stayed back. I moved from one country to another without returning to the UAE. In 2007, she lodged a case in Indian courts asking for divorce. Last year, I learnt from friends that she had another boy whose age is about three years and whom she delivered in a hospital in Dubai on April 22, 2010 and registered him under my name while I didn’t have a relationship with her since 2006,” the shocked husband told the court.
Police arrested the wife SB, 40, and confronted her with the allegations. She admitted having an illicit relationship with ST, 44, a jobless compatriot.
She told the court that she moved to his accommodation permanently later. In 2010, she felt pains in her abdominal area and went to a hospital and learnt that she was pregnant.
“After delivering the baby, I registered him under my husband’s name and obtained a birth certificate; I also obtained him a passport and a UAE ID card,” she admitted to Sergeant Amir Saif.
Her partner, ST, denied having any relationship with SB.
However, parental tests proved that ST was the biological father and SB was the biological mother of the boy.
The woman is now facing charges of having relationship outside marriage, forging birth certificate, passport, UAE residence visa and ID for the boy, using forged documents.
Her partner is also accused of having consensual sexual relationship. The court will reconvene on September 23.

According to the article, she filed for divorce in 2007. He didn’t bother to visit his family. Yeah, that marriage was over a long time ago.
