Not really a pet person, but you can leave a cat at home alone for a week. Not so with a dog.

You can leave them, but they don't appreciate being left. They may just create a little surprise for you, just so you know what they think...

Yeah, but cats are tough and stringy, even the fat lazy ones.

...and they use a litterbox...

Yep. Unless they have psychological issues wherein they can also go just outside the box, or up against walls, or on the bathroom rug...!@#$

...cats clean themselves...

Usually. Unless they get lazy and stop cleaning themselves, wherein they then grow clumps of matted fur that have to painstakingly be cut down then incrementally shaved off:)

How do you clean the scooper each time? Or are there disposable ones? After scooping mine can be yucky I don’t even want to touch it. I tried wiping with sanitizer cloths but it doesn’t get the clingy bits off. I can’t use liners because the cats claw to hide their poop and end up ripping it.

I never knew anything about cats when I ended up with 4 of them. Now three:( But I cannot stand the litterbox cleaning, nor the smell in the house after they’ve just used it. I don’t even really have a place to put all the boxes, they are in a spare room that we would someday like to make into a nice bedroom but I can’t because I don’t have any other “out of the way” spot for the darn smelly boxes. Other than that I love the kitties and couldn’t bear to put them in a shelter so I just live with the frustration:(

I buy those disposable scoopers. Or you can buy plastic spoons or small plastic cups. Each one, I use I threw away immediately. It’s a full time care for one. I know you keep busy with 4.

Dogs eat poop.

That pretty much says it all right there!

I could add that one doesn't have to follow a cat around and when it poops, stick your hand in a plastic bag and pick up the fresh "droppings"! Yuck!

I love dogs but I'm too lazy to own one now. I'll stick to cats that mostly ignore me and don't ask me to go for a walk! LOL

I’ll settle this the Seinfeld way. Dogs are Kramer, cats are Newman.

LOLOL! I totally pictured Kramer acting like a dog when its owner just got home!

So do I.

I give the edge to dogs because they can be useful, but they also can tear people to shreds on their own recognizance. They are not all angels! I don’t fear being killed by the cats.

Now that I watched it...cute! Well done production.

I guess the owner actually has the terriers, too.

...and they always smell, are loud and need constant attention.

I have a cat door in the wall right to the garage...where there are several litter boxes enclosed in a nice cage area. None in the house.....

Cats are also known to carry fungi that can be deadly too.

Is this true?

Hey that’s a good idea, we have an attached garage but it’s not climate controlled. Does that matter?
