As Obama sought to strike the appropriate tone Monday, he appeared to be trapped between the need, as president and commander in chief, to stand up for the government's right to ensure law and order, and the inclination, as an African-American, to empathize with those whose say the killing of an unarmed black man just goes to show how blacks are treated differently by police.
"In too many communities around the country, a gulf of mistrust exists between local residents and law enforcement. In too many communities, too many young men of color are left behind and seen only as objects of fear," Obama said at the White House, in his most expansive comments to date about the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown just outside St. Louis. But while Obama lamented the disproportional apprehension of young black men, he pointedly argued that's not solely the fault of overzealous cops. Police officers must be honored and respected for the difficult job they perform, Obama said.
"There are young black men that commit crime," the president said. "We can argue about why that happens — because of the poverty they were born into and the lack of opportunity or school systems that fail them or what have you — but if they commit a crime, then they need to be prosecuted, because every community has an interest in public safety."

In point of fact, he has NO role. This is a state/local issue. No Federal interference necessary, unless (of course) there is an ulterior motive at play.

His goal. Send Holder in, force this to a trial. Have the trial take over the news like Casey Anthony, or George Zimmerman, and there’s no time to deal with the other issues... economy, foreign affairs, O Care, IRS, Bengazhi, immigration.
Perfect air cover for Him, and a rally point to ensure his anti establishment ( police etc) voters show up in Nov....
To him, its all about avoiding real issues, and get out the vote.

Normally the President of the United States would never get involved in a local issue. His job is to tend to national issues.
We are not living in normal times, and we don’t have a President of the United States. We have a president of the radical left of the Democrat Party.
They are following the belief system of the communist party of the USA. That is why the CPUSA endorsed baraq in ‘08 and again in ‘12. The differences between the commies and the democrats were so small that the CP decided to save their money and not run a candidate.

The reason why many black guys are doing crime and live in poverty is because their so called parents are too damn lazy to raise their kids.
I have 3 kids all in school.
One is national honors, the other is junior national honors, all are A/B honor roll during their school life.
Oldest is in sheriff explorers and ROTC with high ranking.
All have never been in trouble.
Then I see many blacks and some white scumbags never bothering about school or hear about them form my kids, and then you see the parents and that is when you know how they are raised.
Maybe if welfare mothers stopped having kids, sleeping around and enjoying their freebies then things might get better for them in their areas.
This is not just about blacks either as there are many white scumbags .

After the officers were acquitted...and in direct response to the riots....Bush’s DOJ filed federal charges.
Violating the spirit of the prohibition of double jeopardy, the officers were tried a second time and two were convicted.
