I got back into Dr. Who because of David Tennant, I loved Matt Smith and the arc of that story line and I am looking forward to Mr. Capaldis take on the Doctor.Same here, though I rather liked Christopher Eccleston too. I really lost interest after Colin Baker took over for Peter Davison. I loved watching the show, and even joined a local "Dr Who Fan Club" back in the 1980s.
I've really enjoyed the Doctor on BBC America, and look forward to the first show of the new Doctor!

Is that character from some cow-planet that Dr. Who visited?

OK, what did I miss along the way?
I thought the Doctor was something like 907 years old.
How did he suddenly get to be 2000 years old?

I nearly gave up on the show when they had Obama on a television about to give a speech to “solve the world’s financial crisis.” It came across as a bit of “hero worship” by the writers/director.

Oh, Claras still around? I dont care for her at all. I know theres some mystery behind her but but the character makes my teeth itch.
I like Clara. Amy Pond is a close second. Not too fond of River Song.

Spending 1000 years on Tanzalore fighting off invasion after invasion. Actually, it was closer to 300 years according to the Doctor in that episode. Prior to that, the last time he mentioned his age that I noticed he was over 1200 y.o.
He's finally gotten as old as Rory.

Deep Breath, the feature-length first episode, sees the Doctor and his sidekick, Clara, struggling to come to terms with his tough new image. Where did he get that face? she wonders, mourning the boyish charm of Matt Smith, Capaldis predecessor. He's not been well. You must have seen the thread "Doctor Who Contracted Ebola is in Grave Condition"

Jenna Coleman is cuter than a box of kittens. Adorable.
I watched the new episode and greatly enjoyed it. Capaldi is an actor I have been watching and enjoying for 30 years, a terrific actor and will be a great Doctor.

I really like "The End of Time", but that whole scene makes me both laugh and cry that there are people who really, really do think like that.
