FULL TITLE: Pictured: The Wyoming couple who kept a seven-year-old in an outdoor cage, wouldn't let them use a toilet inside and hosed them down as punishment
A Wyoming couple is charged with felony child abuse for allegedly locking a seven-year-old in an outdoor cage for three weeks as punishment.
Jena Harman, the child's mother, and her boyfriend, Alexander Smith, each face up to 20 years jail for allegedly caging the child outside their Laramie, Wyoming, home.
Police said the child was forced to live in a six-by-six-foot wooden box where he/she ate once a day, slept on a cot and went to the toilet in a five-gallon bucket.
The child, whose gender was not identified by authorities, was also sprayed with a hose while inside the cage and ordered to sleep outside during thunderstorms, Laramie Boomerang reported.

I remember that case. Without paperwork and evidence, she will have to be released. But minds like that are like spots on a leopard. They don’t change so given enough time, she’s bound to end up back in prison, or suicidal.
Very sad, especially that it seems there were many signs that things were not right. Hopefully the child can be moved far away from there to a home where he/she will be cherished and able to flourish.
However the sheriff’s office said the reports were unfounded, even though deputies witnessed the child pulling food out of a garbage can and eating it, the affidavit states.
Police at their finest. Like the three monkeys, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Yea it’s perfectly normal to have a young boy eating out of a garbage can and doing nothing about it, yea that works for me.
OOPs...I responded to the WRONG article..so sorry. When I went to the link I happened to see another article about a serial killer nurse from the 80’s who is due to be released in just a couple of years. THAT is the case I remember.
As for this couple...hang them high. I can’t stand it when mom’s are so hung up on men like this, that they refuse to defend their own children. It’s heart breaking.
Did anybody notice how the article referred to the child (singular) as ‘’them” (plural). More bad reporting :(

IMHO, they ought to construct a cage within the ape cages, as a zoo for the apes, and see what the apes do to those selfish, sick, people. I mean seriously? They treated their kids like Taylor on planet of the apes.
I hope their prison time allows them to reap what they sowed.

The article stated that the police didn’t provide the child’s gender. It’s not a transgender thing. : )
Usually, I write s/he, when I need to do write without choosing a gender.
Now if you want weirdness, I just saw an ad that used he/she/zi (for people who do not identify as M/F). That was a WTF moment. : )
