Hard times for Aussie Alarmists – Flannery begs in new video

Posted on by

Story submitted by Eric Worrall

Tim Flannery, one time head of the government Climate Commission in Australia, until it was disbanded by the current government, has released a video begging for donations to “keep science in the news”. A year after raising a million dollars, he now needs more money.

Flannery has an impressive track record of being wrong. He repeatedly predicted Australia was now in permanent drought, shortly before Australia experienced so much rain, alarmists blamed the Aussie downpour for a drop in sea level.

http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/flannery_denies_what_he_actually_said/

Flannery’s predictions of permanent drought probably helped cause the squandering of billions of dollars on desalination plants.

The following is a list of some of Flannery’s more entertaining mistakes.

If Flannery is short of cash, perhaps he should try getting a job, rather than holding his hat out for other people’s cash, while taking a walk along a photogenic beach. He should certainly stop pretending he has any skill at predicting the future.

LOL. Amen. If only we could force these "activists" to get real jobs instead of begging for money so they can continue preaching to us about our evil ways.

Yes it is funny to watch. But we must never forget such useful idiots are very dangerous.
Hopefully as your earlier post on the ROK's intentions of also perhaps dropping the carbon tax laws will come to past.
We need some nations, with some in their government with brains, to set good examples for the rest to eventually follow.

Ernest. A note on the video regarding Roger Pielke's talk on
"Kaya Identity". I watched the whole video. Something bothered me
very much from the first five minutes or so of his intro
remarks.

Unless I was mistaken. He comes across as actually believing
in the concept that CO2 in particular can cause global warming
or as some now describe it as climate change.

Perhaps in essence. Contrary to what his dad has for a number
of recent years voiced.
Perhaps I have just been under a lot of strain as the stupid
Windows 7 system I use will not allow apps I had loaded for
years to run correctly... short story is I have all kinds
of crashes when I run the Microsoft Flight Simulator when
when I choose F18 Super Hornet aircraft that worked well on
my system for many years, that I paid for the apps....
even after clean un-installs and re-installs, etc..
I deviate.
But key thing I wanted to share is Jr. seems to accept the
the concept of hydrocarbons such as CO2 in the atmosphere
responsible for global warming issues. He defended to a point
what the clowns within the IPPC for years have tried to force
upon the world's scientific community in short.

Whatever. I just wanted to share my opinion with you. Don't
feel obligated to respond, but do have a blessed upcoming
day if at all possible.
Stay healthy.

GeronL. I don't have an answer to that question. I would hope it did reach that point. That was the intention as far as I understand.
I have spent little time at FR etc., in recent days as I have tried to undo all the stuff now screwed up on my PC.
So I most likely have missed stuff coming out as to the state the Australian government regarding this issue finds itself in. So sorry I can't be more accurate with an answer.

PROFESSOR Tim Flannery has been sacked by the Abbott Government from his $180,000 a year part time Chief Climate Commissioner position with the agency he runs to be dismantled immediately.

Environment Minister Greg Hunt called Prof Flannery this morning to tell him a letter formally ending his employment was in the mail.

Public service shake-up as heads go

In the letter, Mr Hunt tells Prof Flannery: “The Climate Commission does not have an ongoing role, and consequently I am writing to advise you that the Climate Commission has been dissolved, with effect from the date of this letter.

He thanked him for his personal contribution and then said “The Department of the Environment will soon write to you concerning administrative arrangements for finalising your engagement as Chief Climate Commissioner.”

All other climate commissioners will also be sacked with the move to save more than $500,000 this financial year and $1.2 million next financial year.

The Coalition will now take advice on climate change from the Department of the Environment.
