What I find strange is that the straitions are VERY straight and evenly spaced apart. Usually when the striations are caused by water there are some deviations and they aren’t all completely straight like that. Maybe it’s a doorway to the pit of hell starting to open...: )

But it is known to have been discovered more than 60 years ago So it is possible that the hole could be hundreds or thousands of years old.

Looks to me like a small meteor punched a hole into a vast underground cavern.
The surface shot certainly looks like an impact.
Sinkholes don’t do that... clearly a small impact.
It has to run neck and neck with Naples.

By the looks of the erosion around the edge and the stains on the vertical wall under the gullies, this looks to be a very old geological feature. But I’m no scientist, so I go along with the global warming, or climate change, or climate disruption facts, for the children, or mother earth, or satan...or whatever it takes to rid the earth of those pesky capitalists.
