My brother lives in Atlanta. On the 4th of July they opened their windows in the evening to let some fresh air in the house. They haven’t done that before in July.

Yeah, everyone knows that it normally doesn’t get that hot in Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California in July and August.

Hey. This is a rare spectacle. An article about weather in the LAT that simply reports the facts and doesn’t try to read some greater, Global Warming meaning into a local, temporary weather phenomenon.

Although it has been insanely humid here in SW AZ the last couple of weeks. It is monsoon season, but the humidity seems higher this year than last, at least to me it does. And being that I work outside most of the day, it sucks donkey nutts!

Right on. Normally in the Summer there are snow storms in that part of the country. It is the worst in the lower deserts with Death Valley being the worst of the lot.
