Rush Limbaugh Explodes on ‘Corrupt’ GOP for Employing ‘Reprehensible’ Tactic Against Tea Party
TheBlaze ^ | 6-25-14 | Jason Howerton

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh was fired up on Wednesday following Sen. Thad Cochran’s controversial victory over tea party-backed state Sen. Chris McDaniel in Mississippi on Thursday. Cochran reached out to traditionally Democratic voters – blacks and union members – in a last-ditch effort to beat McDaniel.

“The Republican establishment sought victory via Democrat voters in the runoff, and they got them. Without the African-American vote from Democrat-leaning counties, Thad Cochrane would have lost by eight or nine percent last night,” Limbaugh said, calling the tactic “reprehensible.”

Limbaugh cited a flyer, posted by journalist Charles Johnson that suggested McDaniel and the tea party wanted to prevent blacks from voting in the Mississippi runoff election on Tuesday. Cochran’s critics allege the longtime senator’s campaign was behind the flyers.

It’s a Pyrrhic victory to me. So Cochran wins with the help of Democrats, who in turn vote for the DEMOCRAT in the election. And Cochran loses. How is this really a win? It’s STUPID.

It's a win-win for the utterly evil GOPe.

Above all Boehner, McConnel, Karl Rove and the rest of the utterly evil GOPe do NOT want a Conservative to win.

Believe me they would be happier with a RAT win in November then the possibility of McDaniel winning.

The GOPe is truly that evil. They are pure Statists.

Why are the GOP SCARED of the tea party? Thank-you ahead for your response.

They aren't scared of the Tea Party, they loathe the Tea Party and all Conservatives.

The utterly evil GOPe is filled with pure Statists, much like the Marxist on the RAT side.

Boehner, Karl Rove, McConnel and the rest of the GOPe truly worship at the Alter of State Power.

The U.S. Constitution and Liberty repulse the GOPe.

Heard Rush “explode” today.

I didn't hear Rush's first 2 hours. Did he explode out the gate? What was the gist of what he was saying?

When he drove out there from Missouri he had to repeatedly pull over to squirt anti-freeze on the windshield cuz he couldn’t afford to fix his windshield wipers.

Rush has LIVED IT ALL.

The man holds me spellbound.

>>Even Rush himself has called on us to use that tactic in reverse.

What Rush advocated was those who would ordinarily vote in Republican primaries vote in RAT primaries to mess up their candidates. Had this been done by RATs, that might be one thing, but it was done by a Republican candidate to get the votes to win a REPUBLICAN primary. Those voters are not going to be voting for Cochran in November — hell, they probably won’t voter for anyone.

Rather the GOP is BOTH SCARED and LOATHING of the tea party movement because it is working to take the country back.

I am hereby revoking my philosophy to support the GOP nominee in a given race under the guise that electing a RINO is somehow better than electing a Dem.

Welcome to the land of the wakened.

Many more are still fitfully slumbering in a dream world where they can vote "against" candidates they hate. Of course that tactic has failed in the real world -- voting "against" what you don't want to see elected, is a wholly imaginary "option." The only way conservatives can make things right is by waking up to reality: voting "against" is a fool's errand. If you're going to vote, do it in terms of what you're voting FOR because that is the only thing that counts.

“No one ‘reached out” (Dear God above how I so hate those liberal buzzeords) to Democrats. A planned effort was carried out by GOP operatives to USE WILLING DEMOCRATS to go around the will of the actual GOP voter base and bench a conservative they believed they could not control.”

Exactly, Norm. Boss Hog Haley Barbour orchestrated buying the votes via funneling “walking around money” through black preachers.

“Reached out”—Dear God above how I so hate those liberal buzzwords”

Same here. This is near the top of my list of Most Hated Newspeak Phrases.

Since Rush was the one who came up with “Operation Chaos” in 2008, he’s hardly the best person to complain about this.

I’ve not heard RUSH so angry as he was this morning. THIS behavior by the GOP-e has gone over the edge! It’s time to ROLL CONSERVATIVES!

The only way to “take over” the GOPe is to let all the RINO’s lose in November.

Let all the RINO’s lose in November and then we will have a conservative party to rebuild from the ground up

Don’t soil your ears by listening to Medved.

LOL I have no “former BFFs” here and, believe me, I’ve been HIGHLY critical of RINOs and the GOP Establishment since I first joined FR. Until last night though, I argued that our primary mission should be to win back the Senate this November, even if that meant supporting less than desirable GOP nominees. My reasoning was that we can always apply pressure on these RINOs to advance conservative legislation.

Now I’m not so sure. Last night proved the Republican Establishment is SO addicted to their own power and SO dependent on money flow from crooked lobbyists and unscrupulous ultra-wealthy donors that I no longer believe this country can be saved with them in charge of Congress or the White House. If we’re going to rebuild this country, then we might as well do it the right way by fighting to get decent people with Constitutional conservative values into elected office. And since the Establishment is so hellbent on eliminating the Tea Party from Washington altogether (I wish they’d just once go after the Dems with even 1/10th this amount of energy!), we might as well make it a priority to politically eliminate them first.

I’m so glad Rush doesn’t have that dull, linguini-spined, pseudo-conservative guest host his radio program anymore. I never could stand the sound of Medved’s squeaky little voice.

It is quickly overtaking ‘issues’ from the late 90s.

Short version: I once had to work with a Hillary clone at a telecom for a short time. you could predict with atomic cloc accuracy what she would say based on what was on Friends or another TV show the night before. And ‘issues’ was at minimum in every second sentence. EVERYTHING was an ‘issue’.

I had an issue when I parked my car...
Your issue about the mustard on your shirt...

I wanted to duct tape that witch just ‘cuz’.

The Reach out thing is classic propaganda. It began intended to give the mental image of... ‘See how human and sincere I am? Picture in your mind as I speak how I physically extend my hand to you in friendship, compassion and a willingness to give of myself to help you!”

When the other hand held a knife hidden from view.

Today it is just pavlovian. And annoying as f...ork, used to make you sound hip/with it/one of the in crowd...just as ‘issues was. In short, a word used by frauds.

/rant ;)

Well said. The GOP-E monster will not be defeated by simply defeating their candidates. It will be defeated by electing conservatives. There is a difference and it is high time some people here learned it.

You're making a false equivalence between two very different things.
