I’m guessing you don’t get to debate face to face much as the other person gets a chance to walk away, so, one last time for the hard of logic, and then, I’ll leave you be.
There is no evidence the Obamas lived together for the whole of the first two years, or that the Obama’s ever claimed that they did. The poster making this claim has invented it from whole cloth, having not even read the orginal text, and making the fatal mistake of relying on hearsay from birthers, while rejecting all contrary information under the one True Scotsman Fallacy.
Further, had Obama actually made this claim, even steadfastly throughout his career, and if it were untrue, I still couldn’t care less. I would place it in the same catagory as all other politicians repeating family stories they have been told and failed to check. Big deal. This whole debate is a huge nothing burger. I don’t expect any toddler to have first hand knowledge of their early years, or for their statements about their early years to be subject to legal parsing or to know the precise timescale of a messy break-up. There is no doubt that Obama Snr left the family temporarily to attend Harvard and then permanently to return to Kenya when Obama was a toddler, and nothing in the video link contradicts that. This is silly and juvenile.

There is no evidence they lived together for the whole of two minutes. For example, you can’t list a single address at which the two of them resided. No one else can either. There doesn’t exist such an address; they never cohabited.

Now this is going beyond the realm of Obotery & into the area of psychosis. Have you read NOTHING that has been posted on this thread? Nothing??? At the time O Sr left for Harvard, Stanley Ann & O Jr were 2,600+ miles away from O Sr. They had been living 2,600+ miles distant from O Sr since shortly after O Jr’s birth. [They weren’t living together when O Jr was born either; the addy on the birth announcements is not one where Sr ever resided.]
Not even in your world, I trust, does living 2,600+ miles apart qualify as ‘living together’. If it does, then you are living in a separate reality. I.e.: you’re full blown psychotic.

Actually, it does. Obama said his father left the family when Obama was two. Given the fact that by the time Obama turned two, he & Stanley Ann lived 5,000+ miles from O Sr, & had done so for ~a yr, Obama’s comment in the video link is a big, stinking, fraudulent, huckstering lie.
But as to Obama suggesting his ‘family’ had lived together for two years, he most certainly did that. He merely affirmed, in the video link, what he’d early stated as fact. Namely, in Dreams from My Father, Obama stated that his parents didn’t “separate” until “1963”, & that one reason they separated then was because the scholarship Harvard offered O Sr wasn’t sufficient to support a wife & child. So for that reason, O Sr left them behind. [Quite a feat, since they already lived 2,600+ miles away from him.]
There is no question that this is the narrative Obama put forth in Dreams. It is a fact. It is also a lie. A bald, easily-disproven, self-serving lie.
& how did it serve Obama’s self-interests? It enabled him to give the 2004 DNC keynote address while lying through his teeth about his parents. He claimed they shared an “improbable love”, & that they believed the USA would provide wide open opportunities for their mixed-race son—for whom they harbored big dreams. [Translation, if you rube Americans don’t vote for Obama in future elections, you’re racist.]
All that made for a fabulous speech [if you’re a Dem]. & none of it would have been possible had Obama stuck to the facts. Here’s what the truth would have sounded like, ‘My parents never lived together, they each dumped me as soon as soon they could, & I was raised by a typical white racist granny’. [Not that I consider her racist, but Obama does. Ungrateful, classless spawn.] Hardly the stuff of inspiration/a prelude to national political ambitions.
To summarize. Obama/Ayers knowingly codified a lie [well, hundreds, but one case in point] in Dreams, & they did it for naked political advantage. In 2009 Obama merely reiterated the lie he had already laid out in his ‘memoir’. He, not I, is the one who claimed his family lived as a unit for two years.
And you owe me a big whopping apology.
