Bill Clinton reveals it took Hillary 'six months of very serious work to get over' her concussion after accident - so why did State Department claim that she 'fully recovered' a month later

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suffered a concussion and blood clot in December 2012, for which she was hospitalized for three days Karl Rove suggested last week that Hillary Clinton is hiding something about her health On Tuesday Bill Clinton spoke out about his wife's health and said 'there's nothing to' the Republican's claims Hillary's concussion 'required six months of very serious work to get over,' Bill said. 'It’s something she never low-balled with the American people, never tried to pretend it didn’t happen.' But the State Department said less than a month after Hillary's accident 'she seems to be fully recovered'

Yes! She has fallen before.

HOW OFTEN FALLS OCCUR

Review Your Risk Now

How to get upHow to call for help

•About one third of the elder population over the age of 65 falls each year, and the risk of falls increases proportionately with age. At 80 years, over half of seniors fall annually.
•As alarming as they are, these documented statistics fall short of the actual number since
many incidents are unreported by seniors and unrecognized by family members or caregivers.
•Frequent falling. Those who fall are two to three times more likely to fall again.
•About half (53%) of the older adults who are discharged for fall-related hip fractures will experience another fall with in six months.

What Happens After a Fall

•Falls are the leading cause of death due to injury among the elderly 87% of all fractures in the elderly are due to falls.
•Falls account for 25% of all hospital admissions, and 40% of all nursing home admissions 40% of those admitted do not return to independent living; 25% die within a year.
•Many falls do not result in injuries, yet a large percentage of non-injured fallers (47%) cannot get up without assistance.
•For the elderly who fall and are unable to get up on their own, the period of time spent immobile often affects their health outcome. Muscle cell breakdown starts to occur within 30-60 minutes of compression due to falling. Dehydration, pressure sores, hypothermia, and pneumonia are other complications that may result.
•Getting help after an immobilizing fall improves the chance of survival by 80% and increases the likelihood of a return to independent living.
•Up to 40% of people who have a stroke have a serious fall within the next year.

She was probably getting plastic surgery to make her look younger for her Presidential run.

Why would he divulge that? Seems to me that Bill doesn’t want Hillary to be President. That would distract from him and he wouldn’t like it. I wonder how else he might manage to subtly sabotage her.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recuperating - trying to text - after spill that broke her elbow

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will need surgery to repair a broken elbow.Dharapak/APSecretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will need surgery to repair a broken elbow.

WASHINGTON - Secretary of State Clinton faces surgery and a lengthy recuperation after breaking her right elbow during a tumble Wednesday.

Husband Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea rushed to Washington to tend to the former First Lady at their Embassy Row home. Her public appearances were canceled Thursday.

“She is at home resting comfortably - or uncomfortably,” said State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley. “She is working from home. She has already taken some calls, and I’m sure learning ... how well you can text with one arm in a sling.”

Orthopedic surgeons say it’s routine for patients who sustain a fracture requiring surgery to be given pain medication.

Hillary Clinton will have an operation, likely involving screws and possibly a plate to realign the bones, within a few days. She is expected to return quickly to work.

“I don’t think it was a severe break, which is why I think, she will have the surgery in the coming days,” Crowley said.

He added it was too early to tell if she’ll be forced to postpone upcoming trips to Italy and Greece.

Doctors told the Daily News Clinton should consider holstering her passport while she recovers.

“She can keyboard in a couple of weeks, comb her hair in a couple of weeks, but she might want to wait a while before any extended travel,” said Dr. John Wilckens, an elbow specialist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore.

“She certainly can’t carry her own suitcases, though I assume she has staff for that,” he added.

The full extent of the damage to Clinton’s elbow - comprising the humerus, radius and ulna bones - may not be known until she goes under the knife.

Dr. Bradford Parsons, an orthopedic surgeon at Mount Sinai Medical Center, said Clinton’s surgery could last up to four hours. He said she should expect her right arm to be out of commission for at least a month.

“It depends on which bone or how many bones are broken,” Parsons said.

Clinton fell about 5 p.m. in the State Department basement while heading for her car and a White House meeting along with special ambassador for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke.

In pain, she aborted the meeting and returned to her office, where she was examined. Aides a short time later decided to take her to nearby George Washington University Hospital.

Crowley predicted the busted elbow would do little to slow America’s tenacious top diplomat.

“I mean, you all know Hillary Clinton. She’s already probably plotting how to get back to the office as quickly as possible. And we’re just going to assess this on a day-to-day basis.”

It might have been a faux pas...but more likely he knows she’s not running....so what difference does it make now.

Interesting. My grandson was in surgery within three hours of breaking his elbow.
That must have been quite a fall. A broken elbow and a concussion that took six moths to heal?
I would put money on a stroke.

Well everyone seems to be concerned with concussions with regard to sports, so why wouldn’t this be taken seriously as well.

Sounds like a stroke—If he loves her he should not urge her to run—The stress and strain could kill her.

The Old Dog would be tied up to the White House porch. What would you rather do, chase Bimbo’s at gala dinners thrown for the Clinton Foundation or suffer the scrutiny that comes with being in the First Family. What would Bill Do?
