I know I’m getting old when I hear “Golden Oldies from the ‘00s”.

“Wallender”, a BBC version of a Swedish cop show, has a captivating theme song by a sheila from down under.

No offense but the author picked ten of the absolute WORST songs of the 1908s.

I listen to late 70s and eighties music exclusively. These ten listed suck ass.

The 1950's and 60's...absolutely classic decades for rock/pop.The 1970's...a vast wasteland, almost totally devoid of worthwhile music. The 1980's...much,much better than the 70's but still not nearly as good as the 60's.

I calls 'em as I sees 'em.

1885 - 1987 were much better musically than 1984 was.

1984 to 1988 was a good era for music. However, it almost seems that very soon after, quality music just died.

I meant 1985 - 1987.

1885 wasn't too bad, though:) There's a great website that hosts ragtime MP# and Midi files, I can;t find the URL.

Like A Virgin by Madonna

Trash...pure trash.Hell,Weird Al's "Like A Surgeon" was much better. The only thing "Madonna" did that was worth a damn was "Papa Don't Preach".The video was even pretty good, except for the parts where you see *her* spinning around like a two bit whore.

I read that song was written by a man after his breakup.

That may be the worst list of music I’ve ever seen.

You sees 'em right n'calls 'em loud.

50's and 60's ... period.

maybe 6 or 7 % from the 70's ... but not much.

I gather you didn’t like “Cats in the Cradle”, “American Pie” and “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown” LOL

Synths were coming into their own on a wide scale and were new toys to be exploited. the tooling around with new sounds and production led to a lot of creativity. But once the cool new ideas became established techniques, some of the magic faded.

Sure there was far more than that, but that played a big part IMO.

Her “Live to Tell” wasn’t bad. Probably her best ballad.

I was more a Jim Crocie “Ball of Kerimuir” (how ever you spell it) fan, than BBLB.

4 and 20 virgins came down from Iverness...and when the ball was over there were 4 and 20 less!
