Ring a ding ding! We have a winner!
A beautiful young lady from our 'burb parlayed a couple of years as a Cowboys cheerleader into modeling and acting gigs in Hollywood. No doubt that her resume was helped by that experience.
Nobody's forcing these women to try out. They knew the pay was limited when they tried out for the position.
After high school an maybe college cheerleading is a joke.
It sounds like the duties clearly exceed just game day cheerleading. If it’s 20 hours a week for 17 weeks, that’s 5.29/hr at best. Are they expected at off-season events also?
If so then $2.85/hr is very believable. And if they were promised tips and didn’t get them they have a very legitimate complaint.
I’m assuming the girl who was paid $105 didn’t last the whole season.

Saw Jimi twice, once when he just started off the “Monkees” tour (simply unbelievable) and a year later, still w the Experience but not as good. Very high. Vanilla Fudge blew him off the stage.
