Violating Constitutional Rights is the Core of BLM’s Business Plan

The federal government seized Raymond Yowell’s cattle — all 132 head — and hauled them across the state and sold them at auction.

Then the U.S. Bureau of Land Management sent Yowell a bill for $180,000 for back grazing fees and penalties, and later garnished part of his Social Security benefits.

Yowell claims the government violated his constitutional rights, broke an 1863 treaty and saddled him with a debt that he doesn’t owe.

“There’s no other way,” said Yowell, a member of the Te-Moak Band of Western Shoshone, who still works a small cattle ranch with his son in northeast Nevada’s high desert.

Yowell said in the lawsuit filed earlier this month he was exercising his “treaty guaranteed vested rights” to be a herdsman when he turned his cattle out in May 2002 to graze on the historic ranges of the South Fork Indian Reservation.

BLM officials said the tribe’s Te-Moak Livestock Association held a federal permit to graze cattle on the public land in northeast Nevada from 1940 to 1984, but had quit paying the fees to the BLM in 1984, claiming the tribe held title to the land.

Despite earlier federal and U.S. Supreme Court decisions against them, the Indian leaders asserted then — as Yowell does today — that the land is still theirs as dictated by the Treaty of Ruby Valley of 1863.

Under the treaty, the United States formally recognized Western Shoshone rights to some 60 million acres stretching across Nevada, Idaho, Utah and California. But the Supreme Court’s 1979 ruling determined the treaty gave the U.S. government trusteeship over tribal lands, and that it could claim them as “public” or federal lands.

The BLM is headed up by Reid's chosen man, his long time political aid, whom Obama nominated for the post for purely political purposes and so Reid could be the mob boss of Nevada.

Plain and simple.

The BLM has become the extended arm of Harry Reid and his dirty politics.

Now, there are some good people in the BLM, including in their LEO organization...but as in the US Military today, they either be quiet and attempt to distance themselves quietly from what is going on...or they are removed, or may find themselves under investigation.

It's long past time that the American people hear of these outrages, this pure corruptions, and, as Andrew Jackson said,

"ROUTE THE VIPERS OUT!"

Harry Reid and his family and their "corporations," are so deep into shady land deals in Clark County and elsewhere in Nevada that it is ridiculous...and, IMHO< completely and totally corrupt and criminal.

If people look, they will find that holdings that he and his corporations have obtained...many times at zero cost...are now growing in size from year to year, while the BLM controlled land around them shrinks. And there is no record on how or why this is happening. Just that the Reid holdings continue to grow.

But with Reid's man in control at the BLM, and an administration like the Obama Administration that specializes in kick-backs and the draining of the public trust and coffers for their political supporters...it is not at all surprising.

A BLM insider has documented a lot of this.

Harrys appearance...is that of a bitter utterly corrupt petty thug.

His record backs that up all too well.

Given the visibility of this latest fiasco...he may not long be Senator Reid!

Interesting. As well,

I did a little digging. For those interested in the background on Bundy/BLM et al in Nevada & other western states. Sort of unrelated, but of interest is what SCOTUS had to say about BLM’s overreach related to cattle and other actions in the Yowell case (SCOTUS decision is worth the read):

first shot down by the 9th Circus,

after which the SCOTUS petition resulted below

Western land grab scheme, with crooked politicians wielding the government like a club to run off anyone who gets in the way of their shady, albeit highly illegal dealings. Oh, and by sheer coincidence, all of the government is looking the other way, and trying to sweep the whole mess under the rug. Except that Dingy Harry’s ego got the best of him when he called his potential victims “domestic terrorists”. If I was the state of Nevada, I would put out a warrant for his arrest, for fraud, collusion, RICO statutes, and anything else a prosecutor could think of, throw the book at him, and bury him under the jail. That’s the first method of dealing with crooked politicians. The alternative may not be very pleasant for any of the politicians involved.

It seems the corrupt BLM has been cattle wrestling for quite a while .

Hopefully, the Bundy incident will finally shed some light on it- Not to mention the BLM's outrageous thuggery.

Another interesting example, this time the Forest Service, in collusion with the politicians:

The Barries lost.

And the hand-wringers wonder why the militia show up?

Forgot to add that the 10 acres was seized “to conserve open space” - amid a 1.3 million acre preserve.

I wonder how soon, a la Harry Reid, a “land swap” will be made by some politically-connected crony or elitist enviro-Nazi.
