For all you cat lovers, this is for you. I'm sure you have your own bad cat stories to tell.
LOL! And ROFLMAO at the one about the yarn. My brother once had a cat who did something similar, with a strand of tinsel. Poor thing rubbed his bottom all over the apartment trying to get the last of it out.
Fortunately, the vet got it out without further incident. A carpet cleaning later everything was fine. Though my brother did have tinsel-less Christmas trees from then on... :-)
The black cat with the lizard thing was smiling the rest try to look innocent mostly
Yea, as a rule cats have that smarmy look as if they are wondering what our problem is.
I knew someone who had to have the cat opened up because a string got suck in their intestine and ended up getting tied ina know. Cost him a couple thousand to save the cats life.
There will be H!!! to pay"
My own bad cat story: My cat Spock (yes, his name was Mr. Spock, stop laughing!) pulled a stunt that to this day amazes me.
I had purchased a lemon reamer (one of those hand-held lemon juicer things) that came in a blister pack. You know, the kind where there is a plastic bubble or blister holding your item against a cardboard backing. Anyway, my cat decided he wanted at the lemon reamer. I came home from work to find him gnawing on the thing.
The thing was, I hadn’t taken it out of the package yet. I’d left the package on the dining room table, where it no longer was. It puzzled the heck out of me, until I did a quick search of the room and discovered the “scene of the crime.”
As near as I can figure, here’s what happened: my cat knocked the package off the table and onto the floor. From there, he must have held the package steady with one paw, and used one of the claws on his other like an x-acto knife, cutting the blister all along its outside edge until he could open the package up and get the juicer. The cut was so perfect, you’d have sworn it had been done with a scalpel. Not an errant scratch anywhere, just one smooth, seamless cut around the plastic. It was downright eerie!
I’ve heard similar stories. I can laugh at my brother’s tale because it ended well, but there are a lot of cats who get in serious trouble when they swallow string or the like.
I’ve gained new appreciation for my kitties.
Seemed to me that there wasn’t a bad actor in the group they were doing what cats do....
and since when is a 10 page paper a thesis?
Haha! I have a cat that is guilty of a few of these such as waking Daddy up at 4AM by sitting on his face. Or petting Mama’s face and hair with my long, sharp claws out (that i won’t allow her to cut as I merely tuck my paws under my cat forearms so she can’t get to them) until she realizes she needs to get up and give me her full attention instead of her dreams . . . at 4AM.
Very naughty kitty ping
(I love this thread)
no way, I would of opted for the cheaper method, that’s pretty crazy lol
Wow impressive. good thing they don’t aspire to murdering their owners! ;)
They do. Thats when they’re underfoot when you’re trying to go up and down stairs.
Yes, we had a cat, a Siamese. Thank goodness he was too dumb to anything but sleep.
He did throw up on my Aunt Nora's mink coat once...
Yeah, I know someone like that. Me. Cost about $6K. We’re a lot more careful about what we leave laying around.
My catz don't do anything weird.

Most of my cats are tramps. All three of my females are pregy.
NOT so funny.
