For two consecutive days last week, the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the earth's atmosphere exceeded 402 parts per million (ppm,) higher than at any time in at least the past 800,000 years, according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Carbon dioxide levels tend to peak in May, which means that they are likely to rise even more. According to an article in Mashable, a news and tech website, the latest figures "put humans into uncharted territory."
Just last month, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a damning report that illustrated the growing dangers of global warming. The panel focused on carbon dioxide emissions and warned about the dangers of inaction.

Actually, they found cave drawings that recorded the co2 levels and the cause of the elevated levels. They declared that dinosaur flatulence was a main cause.

Wouldn’t real scientists also use the scientific method and make sure their tree samples were found in the same location as their ice core samples?

They use ice core samples. However, I do not trust them. These are the same liberals that claimed suicide rates are 25 times that for gun owners versus non gun owners but they used 1 county in many years of data to find that 25 times when no other years or county data supported the data. That said, I suspect they found 1 CO2 sample somewhere on the planet, such as in a dirty city in China, and compared it to ice cores they knew to be lower and then came out with this ridiculous claim.

When they started to pretend that they could create valid models of future climate, that’s when it left the realm of science and went into hocus pocus. You got more variables than equations. Any mathematician or engineer can tell you the result will be hooey.

I think I found the Bristlecone database, anyway it should have been appropriate for my sample. But I was disappointed by the ‘interpretation’ required (dry season, wet season, close rings, far rings, etc.).
And where that pine grew, would have mattered a lot. Did something shade it? Was it by water? Etc. Someone seriously studying these things would need to interpret all those factors and more.
I’m getting the impression that the IPCC is winding down some annual conference in which they need to present their “findings” or “agenda” in order to establish the need for “action/funding” for the coming years.
How is that possible? Who was alive 800,000 years ago? Apes? Liberals? What measuring equipment was available?
Can they really? By what standard and by what means? The "standards" of course meaning the artifically determined "standards" that were created to substantiate a predetermined hypothesis...........
So they measure the carbon dioxide in a section of ice and then date the section to get the carbon dioxide in the air from x thousand years ago.
