A-Z Index of U.S. Government Departments and Agencies

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says Republican-led efforts to rein in government spending are pointless because there is nothing left to cut in the almost $4 trillion-a-year federal budget.

“The cupboard is bare. There’s no more cuts to make. It’s really important that people understand that,” Mrs. Pelosi, California Democrat, said in an interview broadcast Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

All these agencies are DEFINITELY needed.!

Remember the word sinecure? Much used in English history and novels, it means a title paying money with absolutely no duties.

Well, we now have 535 Congresscritters, most of whom occupy sinecures. Then we have all their sycophants looking for a tit.

Look at these agencies, not as wasteful tax entities who do more harm than good (which thy are and do); rather, see them as cash cows with many tits.

Disgusting mental image, isn't it?--And SanFranNan is a milk maid and tit distributer for the cows.

The single most important agency to abolish along with its enabling legislation is the IRS.

Without the brass knuckle extortion gang the federal government has nothing.

If the federal government needs more then customs duties because we abolished such duties, then the states can pay an annual fee, and they can collect the taxes.

Repealing the 16th and 17th Amendments would be the key to such a system, which would put the federal government back in its place.

And the American Revolution was a rebellion against the English gangster “nobility” who imposed the costs of those sinecures on the populace.

That is what the government has become, as they always do: a self appointed group of extortionists, living off the populace in an oversized protection racket.

No different from Mafia street thugs with brown paper bags collecting “fees” from the shop owners.

I think the Coast Guard could be put into the Navy, and the Border Patrol put into the Army or the Air Force. There might be a seventh branch of the military, but even if there is, its mission isn’t so different from one of the big four. Indeed, are the missions of the big four so different from one another that they need to be separate organizations?

I would like to offer a challenge to FReepers: let's take this list and start putting some numbers on it. How many people does it employ? What is its annual budget? What programs does it sponsor? And most importantly, WHO comprises these anonymous bureaucracies that leech our money with little or no accountability?

In other words, to start attacking "our" government, we must first know what -- and WHO -- it is we're attacking.

If people are interested, we can form a bang list or a group to coordinate the activities. What do you say?

Well, that’s one. Let’s see if we get any other volunteers. If not, we can go it alone.
