If I do that, it will be the first and only time that I will have used it or any other such stuff. Usually I use the pepper, garlic, onion, oil and dishwashing liquid mixture.

If that doesn’t do it, I just let it go. I’ll have to think on it a bit more.

You are doing good. When I get busy, I do sometimes forget to water the plants. Hubby usually catches it though.

I feel your pain. We have frost warnings for Monday,Tuesday and Friday. Soon winter will be over here. Though, it uncertain if we will have spring or jump right into summer.

Progressing for sure. We are a bit ahead here, since we don’t have snow still on the ground.

It's BT. Bacteria that gets in the guts of worms like vine borers and kills them quick.

I don't have the brand name in front of me. I got it at Lowes.

Injecting 4 acres of vines would be a serious PITA.

It's one of the few that I'll use. And that's because it's bacteria, and not poison. It won't hurt my good microbes in my soil.

police had found no evidence of marijuana plant residue in the trash -- and suggested that was evidence a suspect was covering up his marijuana grow.

I'd say unbelievable but anything is believable now days. There have been similar articles in the past couple of years.

How about your gut? Any studies about effects on humans? I already got a belly full of DDT growing up. Mom used to sprinkle it along the back of the cabinets like it was flour. Then she’d take the canisters, toasters, etc and set them out so that you couldn’t see the DDT. Course it was in all the base cabinets too.

Once a week, I had the job of cleaning off all the counter’s and mopping and making sure the kitchen was clean. I’d clean that DDT up on Saturday, and Sunday, she would come in and put a fresh batch down.

I've never had any problem with it. It's supposed to be safe.

Oh, lawzy! I have some of those matches in the kitchen drawer!!!!!! They’re so old they probably don’t strike anymore, but don’t tell the feds. Ya know, there’s probably some cough medicine in the medicine cabinet and cheap store brand tea bags in the pantry that could be claimed to be a knock off of Trayvon’s fav beverage. “They” go out of their way these days to make up anything to charge you with. Next they’ll be shooting your dogs for no reason.... oh, never mind.

Okay. That is the same as Dipel(tm) gut wrencher BT. Perfectly safe for people.
And you are correct. I ain’t gonna crawl up and down four acres of vine. Summer would be up before I got to the end of the first row.

“Just saw this article on yahoo about the feds raiding customers of garden stores:”

Hydroponic garden store in Illinois. Maybe people who grow it use hydroponic method inside? One of those people they checked out was a father and son using hydroponics to grow something inside but it wasn’t marijuana.

I had heard at some point that grow lights were considered a problem with law enforcement because of folks raising contraband crops in basements...but this is new wrinkle to me.

I was hoping to get out to my land this weekend and get more landscaping fabric pinned down. But, I managed to catch something a couple of days ago and decided to stick near the house. I was able to get that last rabbit fence moved, though. Tomorrow I hope to get the wall-o-waters out and get the backyard garden beds planted.

I scored a nice strainer on shopgoodwill.com this week. Normally $80 or higher, I got it for $23. I’m hoping it will make my canning easier.
