30 years of air traffic control experience, and knowing about ELTs and how they're tracked, I'm very confident that on the third sweep or chirp of an ELT, we would have had an automated report, a lat/long location, and a response team on the way.
That aircraft landed somewhere and is being reworked for a terrorist attack.
