American public school students sick of the smaller portions and healthier offerings they get at lunch thanks to Michelle Obama's anti-obesity initiatives are sounding off on social media. Just a month after school lunch participation saw the steepest drop on record following the implementation of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, students tired of going home hungry are making sure the first lady knows why. 'I'll never forgive Michelle Obama for this school lunch,' tweeted one angry student.

Yeah here’s the lesson:

“This is what happens when a liberal touches something”

or maybe this:

“maybe Michele Obama is not the smartest and most perfect angel from heaven like the pop stars and TV tell me she is”

> Just wait until you figure out what the cabal has done to your future.

And where she applied the school’ program’s “savings”. Are those photos really what they are feeding teens in our schools? Hell how can they even think if they’re hungry during class especially at that time of life when they’re growing? I can’t wait to see the Communist Gay Dynamic Duo leave the WH

That’s a funny site. The first recommendation is to avoid eating “processed” stuff that “comes in a bag or a box.”

Meanwhile, he makes his money by selling “processed” stuff that “comes in a bag or a box.”

Good suggestions, to eat whole and unrefined. But that he sells supplements (rather than whole, unrefined foods) hypocritical.

That is the biggest bunch of feelgood psychobabble I have ever heard. But to each his own.
I was taught different.

The program is “law” because it is decreed by whatever federal bureaucracy is in charge of making such inane rulings.

That said, the pics show a swill that looks like its made for a prison camp.

School lunches were barely edible back when I was in school. I shudder to think what she’s done to them.

One of the most vivid memories of my childhood is of my grandmother (may she RIP) nagging at my little sister to eat, and the sister ended up throwing up at the table.

UK paper refers to these lunch programs as “the law.”
Law, we don't need no stinking law. Just send a Dept of Ed or FDA, whatever regulation out. Anyway these educrats are democrats mostly and happy to show their fealty to their Queen.

look at those photos

that is NOT “good food” and the “little brats” who come from neglectful homes where the parents do not prepare them lunch are not at fault here-

they are stuck with this carelessly prepared govt mandated tastelessly presented slop as 1 of their 3 daily meals (perhaps 2 if they also get breakfast in school)

I pack my DD’s lunch but she tells me about the gray “pizza” and lumpy milk and other yuk foods that are served DAILY in the cafeteria line. Some of her classmates have no choice. I pack extra food like buttered bagels and fruit so she can share with some who are her friends.

How about a law that these same “healthy” menus and recipes MUST be served at the White House AND at the Congressional cafeteria

“when I was a kid eating in the ‘caff.’”

Our grade school lunch was so good, we’d eat all of our food so we could get a second helping. Nutritious too.

Back in the late 60s, during my junior high years (grades 7-9), was the only time I attended a school that had a cafeteria. For 35 cents, you got an entrée, veg, fruit/dessert, rolls (fresh-baked and the main reason to eat lunch), and milk. I always ate just fine and those pictures don’t hold a candle to what I received. It’s a sad commentary that we’ve backed up so far in the intervening years.

the miserable lunches are not "the law"

I think they are if any federal food subsidies are involved. A lot of schools serving this crap have ALL of their students getting free breakfast and lunch, so they complain but aren't about to pay for an alternative.

It can be done. I encountered a handful of schools that worked with their food providers to provide edible healthy meals within the guidelines. It seems most people would rather complain and demand than help to solve the problem.

PS: Kiwis, when properly ripened and kept fresh are very tasty and nutritional.

It’s not just schools, it has gone into the HOSPITALS too, there food was bad enough, Mooch’s plan makes it worse.

When I was in the hospital in Oct, all they had was her crap. I refused to eat it. Hubby tried, when a RET. SCPO turns his nose up at it you KNOW IT IS BAD! How do you ruin frozen french toast? Let it thaw on the plate, no margarine, no syrup, 1 soggy mess. No coffee, no Tea, just fruit juices and water. He’d stop at Sub Way and bring me dinner, and BK for a croissant/ham, cheese, egg.

Lunch I skipped.

Good thing I always find the Nurses supply of coffee. I don’t function well in the morning with out my coffee. Brought my own meds too, as all they had were generics, I take 2 name brand because of generic side effects. There schedule is NOT my schedule. And those 2 drugs have to be taken on schedule. Not when some nurse gets around to pushing her drug cart in the door. Plus I now take my tablet and google the drugs. Saved my hide a few times.
