Just out of curiosity. Has anyone ever done any study on what might have happened had we never discovered oil and took it out of the ground? Could it be that maybe this planet would have one day exploded or turned into a flaming ball of gas? Just wondering. All of that oil would have been polluting water tables and bubbling up from the ocean floor and STILL contaminating our beaches.
Think of the radioactive materials that have been excavated as well. Leaving it in the ground doesn't make that area any safer.
