This Just In Tigers got two replay rulings yesterday. I doubt it took more than about two minutes total.

Which is a lot less time than a full blown, managerial rant over a call.

Alas, it means no more kicking dirt on the ump's shoes. But that pretty much ended when Lou Pinella retired.

MLB has a 162 game schedule, playoffs are five or seven games, games are nine innings. A blown call that decides a game under these conditions, where the teams have proven evenly matched, is no different than any other random chance; a grounder hitting a base, a pulled hamstring, sun in a fielder’s eyes, etc.

Good idea. Women’s volleyball is much more entertaining than baseball.
